We are in the process of changing Race Forum for the better. After 26 years, we will be moving from a print format to a brand new digital multi-platform offering with many great combinations to maximize positive exposure to your events. We bid a fond farewell to our print magazine. Moving forward, we will be a digital magazine (see library) with links from all advertisers and listings to the website of each event and/or ad. We will be spending a majority of our funds to promote the magazine in all social media networks and increase readership through multiple impressions. Race Forum will be a monthly magazine now rather than bimonthly, expanding our reach to 48-50,000 each month through our eNewsletter. Our prices have dropped dramatically with a push toward placing races in several issues for an even greater advertising hit rate. When an athlete sees an ad multiple times, the chances increase for participation in your event. Yes, the advertiser can change an ad from month to month, but deadlines will be strict. We have a basic structure starting with 4 or more months on both email advertising, online advertising and digital magazine advertising. Pay for 4 months, your ad will appear as long as you want: 6 months, 8 months or longer from whenever you send it to us until event month. Of course, we lay out ads in order, so each month it will move closer to the front, unless special placement is purchased. Special placements are charged each month outside of the 4 or more rule. Your participation and generosity has enabled KDM to complete a wide array of projects throughout our area. Please be mindful of a few important changes, which aim to improve the race experience for everyone. Similar to other large charitable races, pre-registration will be required for all participants who wish to receive a racing number and official running time. You may pre-register online by visiting www.kdmfoundation.com. For those who do not pre-register, you will still be able to participate on the day of the race and to receive this year’s KDM race shirt while supplies last. The registration price is $35. We look forward to seeing you at the 2018 KDM Foundation Fun Run!
KDM FOUNDATION
The Keith McHeffey Foundation was created to keep the spirit of Keith McHeffey and countless other local victims of the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001 alive through a variety of charitable functions. To this end, the Foundation has created a permanent memorial to area victims by renovating Memorial Field at Piping Rock Park in Rumson, NJ, helping to complete the children's playground at Fair Haven Fields, donating a digital scoreboard to Sickles School in Fair Haven and most recently providing Sea Bright Recreation $10,000 to complete the beach playground area. The Foundation also awards annual scholarships in his name to students at Rumson Fair Haven Regional High School and has assisted many of the youth sports programs including Fair Haven, Rumson and Sea Bright.

COURSE DESCRIPTION: Swim in a clean, clear, fresh water lake. Short 1/4 mile run to T1. Mountain bike leg traverses interconnecting trails of the Scout Rez, Wells Mills, and County Open Space, and varies from wide and sandy, packed down and fast, tight single track, and a few bridge crossings. Trail run winds out Scout Rez to fire trails through Amity Acres, before finishing back in Scout Rez. Watch out for JERSEY DEVIL sightings throughout the course.
