Ergonomic Outrigger Positioning System

Articulating Outrigger Positioning System

The Ergonomic Outrigger Positioning System featured on the Fuel v.2 is strategically positioned on the frame to draw the strap forward and away from the goggle frame to provide a perfect fit in a wide range of helmet face ports. The outriggers evenly distribute pressure on the goggle frame to create a complete seal on the face, keep dirt out, and allow F.A.T. face foams to soak up sweat.

Engineered to adjust to a full range of face shapes and sizes, the Articulating Outrigger Positioning System evenly transfers pressure across the brow and nose to ensure a complete seal around the face. When used with a helmet the outrigger articulates allowing the goggle frame to sink into the helmet face port, ultimately providing a comfortable and consistent fit every time.

IN-LENS POSTS Smith’s unique In-Lens post system offers the best of both worlds. In the standard configuration with posts installed in the lens, Tear Offs can simply be loaded onto the lens without fumbling with cumbersome frame clips. Remove the posts to expose pre-drilled holes that allow Smith’s legendary Roll Offs film advance system to be installed for clear views in any condition.

TURBO FAN

AIR INTAKE SYSTEM

Setting the standard in goggle performance, our 5th generation patented Turbo Fan technology eliminates fog. A silent, 2-speed micro-electronic fan runs continuously for up to fifty hours on a single AAA battery to draw air through strategically placed vents, preventing moisture from setting up shop inside your goggle. The high powered mode can be activated to clear moisture build-up in extreme situations. Sleek, lightweight and hates fog as much as you do. The result is perfect vision.

Traditional goggle venting provides a regulated supply of air through the goggle; when you slow down airflow decreases, increasing the potential for fogging. Smith’s revolutionary Intake fairings allow the user to increase airflow at these slow speeds by opening the fairings and directing air into the chamber of the goggle. On-demand airflow is now at your finger tips.

ENDURO AIRFLOW

AFC (ANTI-FOG COATING) LENS

Out with the wet, in with the dry. Active lens ventilation clears fog by maximizing incoming airflow while allowing hot air and steam to escape.

The pre-emptive strike. Pro-active fog slayer. However you want to say it, AFC stops fog before it starts. Smith’s Fog-X coating creates a hydrophilic surface that permanently bonds to the inside of the lens to absorb moisture before fog can form.

SandTrap Vent Foam

Our micro-porous, 2-to-1 vent foam is specifically engineered to filter out dust and debris while maximizing the circulation of dry, fresh air to circulate through the goggle to prevent fogging.

Developed in cooperation with our top athletes, our proprietary SandTrap vent foam incorporates a 2-layer filtration system that prevents fine particulates like sand from entering the goggle chamber while maintaining the critical airflow needed to prevent fogging. Ideal for ATV enthusiasts hitting the sand dunes and serious racers attacking the most grueling sand tracks.

F.A.T. 2-LAYER

FIRST LAYER .050” layer of soft fleece for extra comfort and sweat wicking.

SINGLE STAGE

MIDDLE LAYER .50” layer of hypoallergenic open cell foam. Excellent sweat wicking and sweat retention.

BASE LAYER .125” layer of closed cell foam called MCL. If sweat reaches this barrier, a special capillary action diverts it away and to the side of the goggle. SWEAT-X F.A.T. 3-LAYER

Smith’s Extreme Condition Lens (XCL) utilizes an ultra-sonically raised dot-matrix to create an anti-stick surface and enhance film advancement in even the worst conditions. Hard coated to resist scratching and enhance durability, the XCL lens also offers 100% UVA/B/C protection.
