dear friends, a warm welcome to our 42nd steak n’ Burger dinner! during your time with us this evening we encourage you to introduce yourself not only to our wonderful kids, but also many of our successful alumni. Hear the stories of the Clubs that influenced their lives, and understand why our staff and volunteers work tirelessly to ensure that no child is ever turned away. every day, the Boys & girls Clubs of greater Memphis offers advancement for our children through afterschool education. the core club programs of Character and leadership development, education and Career development, Health and life skills, the arts, and sports fitness and recreation help to build futures for nearly 4,000 members ranging in ages from 6-18. in addition, through the generosity of one of our donors, our technical training Center provides our young adults with career skills from which 100% of our graduates have been placed in local jobs. again, thank you. we hope you enjoy your time with us as much as we do having you.

BgCM needs and appreciates your continuous giving towards these programs that help our kids to stay clear of drugs and gangs, and instead give them hope and opportunity. you make the difference, and ultimately, our kids become not only productive members of the Memphis business community, but also friends and neighbors.

ladies and gentlemen: on behalf of the staff, volunteers and most importantly the kids of the Boys and girls Clubs of greater Memphis, thank you for your support of this vital organization. Because of your generosity, 120 kids representing each of the six clubs operating in Memphis will not only be able to enjoy a wonderful meal tonight, but they will also be able to continue to grow and learn in the safe and nurturing environment provided by the Clubs. it has been a pleasure to serve alongside my fellow board members and many of our community leaders to raise the support needed to ensure that these members have a Club to call home. i hope you will take time to talk to the members at your table. ask them what the Club means to them, what they enjoy doing there, what they hope to do in the future. these answers are why we are here tonight, why we support the Boys & girls Clubs and the opportunities they provide for their members. thank you for joining us tonight, supporting the work we do and helping provide a safe and positive place for kids.
