PAVILION BROOK
Rhino + Grasshopper Twinmotion Photoshop
The pavilion is a space dedicated to the healing of a weary mind and body. Located on a river side, the pavilion offers a resting place for its users. It is a place for socializing, restoration and recreation. The concept of the pavilion is based from the canopy of trees. The pavilion resembles the forest and aims to provide the same experience as that of visiting a forest.
The structure of the pavilion is such that, the columns resemble the trees and the organic roof structure creates a play of light and shadow.. The trees also help in seperating the spaces among the pavilion itself while each tree can be used on it’s own as well.

IIA FACADE DESIGN
The Indian Institute of Architects (IIA) is an important organisation for architecture that oversees the betterment of architeceture in India. Thus, the IIA should be represented as such, with power, sophistication and creativity.
The IIA Facade design was a project introduced to us by the IIA, to design the facades of an already existing office building located in Greater Noida.
The concept of my faccade was to use the elements of design- symmetry, repitition in design and contrast in material to create balance and heiarchy in the facade.

FACADE CONCEPT
Verticality: The design uses the play of heights to create an experience and differentiate the masses. The vertical members covering the fenestrations extend beyond the parapet level.
Repetition: The vertical members are all placed in a set of 3. This creates a sense of symmetry and pattern.
Symmetry and Asymmetry: Symmetry is achieved using same material and pattern along both sides.

FACDE
ALUMINIUM JALI PAENLS- Aluminium jali panels provide a wide range of perforated designs. It is light-weight and also gives a nice finish as an exterior. The perforations in the pattern allow proper air flow and also blocks summer sun whereas allows plenty of wintersun to enter the structure. The patterns in the jali give a nice shadow. It also ensures security from tresspassing.
ALUMINIUM SHEETS- These sheets give a streamlined, clean and linear appearance to the facade. Since they are light-weight, their load is relatively less. Aluminium sheets along with glass gives a modern look to the facade.
GLASS PANELS- Adds beauty to the overall space. It can transmit natural light in both directions. Glass as a material, it reduces weight on the foundation of the building and makes the building lighter as compared to walls.
