Universal education, gender equality and empowering women are vital components of the mission in developing countries. Educating children helps reduce poverty and will give the next generation the tools to fight poverty and conquer diseases. School also offers children a safe environment, with support, supervision and socialization. The aim of this project is to provide a better education to the youngest citizens of the country by giving them the opportunity to access a decent secondary school infrastructure.

Category: Educational

The project aims to foster a sense of community within itself. By integrating informal spaces, large openings, and landscaping, a balance is achieved between the indoors and the outdoors, allowing for a seamless transition. Locally sourced, low-cost materials such as brick, mud and fly-ash bricks have been highlighted for the built structures for the site in AP. The design accomodates for middle school, starting from grades 1 to 8, with space provided for outdoor sports activities.

Originally an ice cream shop, the project involves remodeling the space into a cocktail bar section. The area is a total of 75 sqm, with two separate rooms side by side and is located adjacent to a restaurant, Egg Factory, in Manipal, Karnataka. The design accomodates for the users who come in as groups as well as for the individuals.

Category: Hospitality

The project aims at incorporating various interior design elements to transform the atmosphere from an ice cream parlor to a bar. The space’s layout has been altered to accommodate the various types of user groups. The cocktail bar’s decor is a blend of Art Deco and Brutalism, with different aspects of each being highlighted to complement one another.

POLISHED CONCRETE

The theme follows a seamless blend of Art deco and Brutalism. Interior decoration components such as brass furniture and lighting fixtures, tile flooring, and marble were included from the art deco style, and the materiality of the surfaces were given an exposed finish, generating features of brutalism. It has a unique fusion because of the contrasted interior styles. With marble counter tops, the bar counter is composed of wood veneer tambour. The space’s elegant aspect is enhanced by the brass furniture with velvet upholstery. Wall mounted lights and hanging pendant lights are utilised as lighting fixtures. Throughout the area, the walls are bare polished concrete.

Today, one of the simplest solutions to fight climate change is to design smaller and adaptive spaces. On wheels explores the design of a tiny house on wheels where living minimal is the main idea. This lifestyle appeals to those who value space and funtionality. In a restricted footprint, the connection between space and function is apparent. These units can also assist in the provision of economical, transitional housing for those who have experienced a lack of shelter.

Category: Housing

The project aims at creating an adaptable space, formulating a balance between outdoor and indoor experiences. The spaces consist of tall panoramic openings not only amplifies the living experience in a 255 sft footprint but also establishes a connection with the outdoors within the comforts and security of a home. Sustainable and space-saving elements such as a compost toilet, bed storage, and a pocket door have been incorporated into the design to enhance the experience of living large in a tiny home.

The key to maximising the potential of a tiny living area is to use space-saving and contemporary design ideas.

A pocket door is a sliding door that, when fully open, disappears into a compartment in the adjacent wall. Pocket doors are used for architectural effect, or when there is no room for the swing of a hinged door. In a tiny space, a sliding door solution minimizes the demand for door space. in front of or next to the entry point.

In a tiny living space, storage is restricted, therefore finding alternatives like under the bed storage cabinets provides the need for that extra space. Additional space ideas include under the stairs storage, concealed storage, modular furniture, high shelving, and fold down beds,

The most popular choice for tiny house toilet systems is the composting toilet. These types of toilets allow tiny house homeowners to naturally break down their waste through decomposition. Compost toilets are an environmentally beneficial and modern alternative for a living area that does not require water for flushing, thereby saving a significant quantity of water.
