MARKED A house is not a home, but a home can be made when the people that inhibit it fill it with rituals, rhythms, sounds, scars, memories and montras. Living a nomadic life forces one to recreate home quickly and efficiently as well as remain on their toes ready to flee at first warning. The mind begins to section memories based on the place they were created; a timeline of doors and windows of backyards and street names. Marks left on homes are easily covered up by plaster and paint never to be seen again by the human eye, only to be felt by the house they were marked on and remembered by the ones who marked them. Deep marks left on people are the hardest to fill and to hide. The potential of pain can hinder a nomad from growing relationships when they know the roots will be ripped out as the packed car pulls out the driveway. And she feels it all.
DELIBERATE Once a choice has been made, it must be followed through to the farthest extremities, for better or for worse.
