FOURTH YEAR DESIGN STUDIO - FALL SEMESTER
This design focuses on the sense of unity through the consistent implementation of arches within the composition of the station, mixeduse building, and the urban plaza - all directly correlating to the interior of the Nashville Historic Hotel. A sense of gradated rhythm can also be noticed, as the arches can be seen decreasing at each repetition.

YEAR: Revit, Lumion, Photoshop
1307 W Kennedy Blvd Tampa, FL 33606

Spring 2022 14
“The Missing Piece” is based on the concept of feeling whole. Knowing that the future occupants have not had a definite living space, the design idea was based on creating a hub that will allow them to feel as if they belong. The design relates both figuratively and literally to the title as the hub will resemble a puzzle piece when looking from an aerial view. A precinctual layout can be seen being used to provide a centralized green space. Promoting positive mental health is also a major focus and can be seen being emphasized through the use of green spaces, straight edged shapes, and the exterior appearance of the hub.

SECOND YEAR DESIGN STUDIO - SPRING SEMESTER
The design focuses on the principles of hierarchy and floating spaces to emphasize the exterior. Repetition is also seen through the use of skylights which provides sunlight for the first floor, the office, and the third floor, the residential space. The second floor, the garden, also benefits from the use of skylights due to the elevated landscape that is created.

THIRD YEAR DESIGN STUDIO - FALL SEMESTER
The focus when designing the space was to prioritize creating an internal courtyard that will serve as a safe, private space for both programs. The addition of a glass atrium in the residential building provides exterior views on each floor, therefore again emphasizing the importance of the courtyard. The concept of mirroring was also utilized to create a design that from an aerial view, had a clear relationship between both buildings although they serve different purposes.

The design consists of the fundamental principles of symmetry through a clear mirroring effect along with arrangement which can be seen through the focus on shifting volumes, perspectives, and circulation to provide an overall beach house atmosphere. The inclusion of hierarchy within the center of the residence creates an open dynamic and a sense of openness, leading to feelings of relaxation and euphoria.
