MASTER MIND


CODE MAKER Your goal is to set a secret code that will keep the decoder guessing!


DECODER Your goal is to match the color & placement of the code in the fewest number of tries!


CODE MAKER


Create a secret 4 color code using any of the 6 colored pegs in the hidden area while the decoder looks away.

Hint: you may use 2 or more pegs of the same color to trick the decoder!


Use the colored pegs to guess the color & position of the hidden code. Place a row of 4 pegs in the empty holes closest to you.

Place a red peg next to the Decoder’s guess to show a peg is the right color in the right place.

Place a white peg next to the Decoder’s guess to show a peg is the right color in the wrong place.

Hint: the code breaker doesn’t know which peg the red and white pegs refer to!


the advanced game CODEMAKER: Leave 1+ blank spaces when setting the code, so you have the equivalent of 7 colors from which to choose!

The game continues until there are no more rows for the Decoder to place pegs in or until the Decoder breaks the secret code!
