Wedding photography is one of the biggest investments you’ll make for your wedding day! You’ll spend a lot of money and time on decorations, planning, the food, the tiny details, etc. However all of those things will fade. Memories will fade. However, pictures last forever. Pictures can bring back the memories for many years to come. You’ll want to remember all the details - little or big. You’ll want to remember the laughs , the tears, whether happy or sad, the smiles, the quests, the dances....the entire day and pictures give you that! Picking a wedding photographer is important. You’ll want someone who will creatively capture your day. Whether you want a photographer from start to end or a photographer to shoot your ceremony alone. The person capturing this moment for you is important. You’ll want to pick someone who matches your style and will capture everything you desire - someone to capture your love story, the beginning chapter of your new journey, together. THE PHOTOGRAPHER
I’m Rachel Shields .I’m a 22 year-old self taught photographer. Don’t let that scare you away though - I now have five years of practice under my belt. This year is my second year of shooting weddings and each day I grow better and better. I believe being a self-taught photographer is better then learning from a teacher standing in the room - just because as a s e l f - t a u g h t photographer, I’ve learned through trial & error. I’ve learned by doing, and doing again. I’m not saying self-taught is better or worse but for me, I feel like I learned better this way. Aside from photography I work a full-time job and study visual communications and business. I like keeping busy and learning new things. Photography is my passion and i dream of someday making it my full-time career. I really enjoy capturing the person in front of my lens. Not just the person that you can physically see but the person that is deeper then that. I like capturing your personality or your story. Each person has a story to tell and I aim to capture whatever that is. As you can see from the picture I’ve provided - I do whatever it takes to get the perfect shot. I will climb, crawl, bend, etc. I will do whatever I can to capture my vision to better tell your story. When I’m not out shooting, you’ll more than likely be able to find me at home with my two adorable kitties, at Starbucks with a good book, sipping on an Iced Skinny Caramel Macchiato or a Skinny White Mocha, depending on what Season it is. I won’t lie, I have a little bit of an obsession with coffee, preferably Starbucks but an occasionally Iced Blueberry Coffee from Dunkin’ will do :) Really though - I’m a young, ambitious woman full of happiness and laughter that can be rather contagious. I want nothing more out of life than to do what I love, being surrounded by the ones that I love, and chasing each and every one of my dreams. With all of that being said - wedding photographer is my newest love. I love seeing the love of two people as they begin their new life together. I love being able to capture their love. I love being surrounded by their loved ones who are falling in love with the couple just as much as I am. Weddings give us hope and remembrance that there are good things in life and that we all have something to look forward too. This milestone you’re approaching is one of the biggest you’ll ever experience. Let me help you not worry about the memories being capture; I’ll capture your day! k
