Quarantine Management A stuck-at-home guide for anyone that needs it.

A quarantine is a period of strict isolation after possible exposure to a contagious disease or for an individual to keep away from disease. As of March 2020, most people have been required to quarantine at home to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and this has taken a toll on many people’s well-being and mental healths. The stress of being home all the time while also fearing the disease can be overwhelming and disruptive to our lives, but we need to remember that this is only temporary. It can be hard to continuously remind ourselves of that, though, so here are some tips and pieces of advice that may help.

To all the parents... With everyone being at home all the time, what should I watch for?

I’ve been really irritated and worried. Your performance in classes has been poor as well, lately. I’ve been avoiding my work and hobbies that I used to enjoy. Your sleeping and eating haven’t been balanced, either. Let’s work on fixing things. Thank you for trying to help. 6

Teachers could try to...

Lighten the workload and give solutions

Communicate

Share more resources

Be encouraging

The teachers who are trying to help are appreciated, but the ones who are not trying should acknowledge the situation and try to help the students who are struggling. Remember that they look to you for guidance and need your support.
