Payment Options
Electronic Bank Draft - An easy way to pay as you go! Your checking or savings account, or credit/debit cards are debited once a month. There is no long term commitment to make, and your membership is always current. A one week written notice is required when discontinuing. Annual Payment - Dues may be paid in full upon joining via cash, check or VISA, Mastercard or Discover. Non-transferrable and non-refundable.
Refunds or Credits
1. The YMCA will gladly issue a credit or refund for a cancelled class/event or due to medical reasons, (pro-rated). 2. Credits or refunds must be approved by the associate executive director, with the exception of a written medical excuse. 3. Credits or refunds cannot be issued for individual classes missed, for vacations, or once a class session is 75% complete. 4. All credits must be used within 6 months from the date issued. 5. Programs such as camp and school age child care require a registration fee that is non-refundable. 6. No cash refunds.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
The Racine Family YMCA wants everyone to have the opportunity to take part in its programs and enjoy its facilities and services. To receive financial assistance (based on available funding) for full general membership and/or programs, applicants must provide current proof of receiving: 1) W2 monthly letter, 2) SSI/SSDI letter, 3) WIC vouchers, 4) childcare assistance letter, 5) unemployment insurance check stub, or 6) DVR Department of Vocational Rehab or Veteran's Benefits letter. If applicant doesn't have proof of the above, they must visit the Welcome Center to pick up a regular scholarship application.

YOUTH DEVELOPMENT GENERAL INFORMATION
The registration deadline is the first class of a session. If there are fewer than three children registered, class can be held only if the participants are willing to pay the semi-private fee. When possible, classes will be combined to accommodate your preferred schedule. The prerequisite to be in a particular level is mastery of skills in the previous level. Classes are not prorated. Makeup classes are not scheduled for missed classes. Choose the session(s) that fit into your summer plans, then choose the time from the preschool or youth sections. Registration for each session begins approximately 2 weeks prior to the first day of the session. SHARK Level 6 New Skills: Flip turn for Front crawl, Breaststroke with Pull out, and increase Butterfly endurance to 25 yards. Swim a 200 yard Individual Medley. PORPOISE/Pre-SEAY Level 7 If you are interested in joining the SEAY swim team or your high school swim team, then Porpoise/Pre-SEAY is for you! Improving on all four competitive strokes, starts, turns, and finishes are the goals.

During Open and Family Swims, youth who wish to swim in the deep end of the lap pool will be required to pass the YMCA swim test. The test will be administered by a lifeguard each day.
CPR/AED for the PROFESSIONAL For those who need CPR/AED certification for the job, and for those who want to know how to help. Using American Red Cross courses, we will teach you the skills and confidence to perform CPR and how to use an AED. Lifeguard Class These American Red Cross courses will teach the knowledge and skills needed to prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies in a pool environment. To enroll, you must be age 15 by the end of the class. Prerequisites: 300 yard swim using front crawl and breaststroke, and swim 20 yds – dive down 9 ft, retrieve a 10 lb. object, and swim back to the starting point. You must attend all 4 days in a class. Flag Football
YMCA Flag football is a recreational program designed for boys and girls ages 6-13, new to the sport of football as well as those not quite ready for tackle football who want to learn how to play the sport, brush up on the rules, tactics, and skills, improve their game, and most importantly, have fun! Our focus is on football education, participation, and sportsmanship. 6 SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY community development Young Leaders Academy (YLA) is an after school leadership program for 3rd-8th grade girls and boys. YLA offers homework assistance, tutoring, leadership group sessions and activities. Programming currently held at 3 sites: YMCA, Wadewitz Elementary School, and 21st Century Preparatory School. YLA offers a six-week summer program at Carthage College in Kenosha, WI. Youth attend academic classes in the mornings, and participate in fun and educational activities in the afternoons. Summer Session starts June 18, 2012. The YMCA Achievers is a teen program for 9th-12th graders that offer participants college readiness, college tours, collaboration with local businesses, and career exploration workshops. Achievers also receive free YMCA memberships. Nurturing Fathers Program is an evidence-based 13-week fatherhood course that helps fathers become more nurturing toward their children, and have a healthier relationship with their children’s mother. NF offers flexible scheduling with morning and afternoon sessions. Mondays 11am–1pm or Wednesdays 2pm–4pm. Summer Sessions start June 18, 2012. Family Smart Kid Friendly is a program that offers bi-monthly home visitation and parent education programs. Provides families with Ages and Stages developmental curriculum, monthly information on child development, age appropriate play activity guides, and activities done with home visitor. Salsa, Sabor y Salud was the first national program of its kind designed by the National Latino Children’s Institute (NLCI) to encourage healthy lifestyles among Latino families. The eight-session program assists Hispanic families with children 12 and under to make healthy choices for eating and incorporating activity into their daily lives, involving the whole family. The Women's Wellness Initiative (WWI) provides a free 12-week series of self-empowerment sessions where African American women learn new skills in an environment that encourages positive changes that move them to become whole and healthy. This 30 minute class is perfect to achieve goals of toning and overall conditioning while keeping your workouts within a busy schedule. Cardio Express is great for ALL fitness levels. C.S.I. Cardio, Strength, Interval. Join C.S.I. and get a complete workout experience and see results! Deeply Devoted With floatation belts in the large pool, get the greatest workout of your life. Zero impact with a major fitness benefit. Indoor Cycling Enjoy an intense cardiorespiratory workout in our indoor cycling class. Every workout is designed to challenge all fitness levels. Participants can adjust the tension on the bikes to modify the intensity of their ride while following the instructor’s cues. Brand new participants need to arrive 5-10 minutes prior to their first class for assistance in bike set up. Joint Effort A warm-water aquacis e class designed to enhance range of motion for those with arthritis.

Parkinson’s Fitness Class All Parkinson’s participants must first receive an assessment through Wheaton Franciscan/All Saints physical therapy department. Participants may get a referral to physical therapy from their primary care physician. AFTER the assessment participants will be involved in a one hour fitness class. Up to 30 minutes are spent walking on a treadmill to improve gait speed and balance. Another 30 minutes are spent in a toning/flexibility class with a focus on improving posture and balance. Pilates These Pilates classes are performed on a mat. All exercises are zero impact and easy on the joints. Pilates strengthens the core muscles and gently increases flexibility. Instructors can help participants modify exercises to accommodate nearly everyone. Power Conditioning Power Conditioning is a multi-level class that gives participants a great cardio and strength training workout. Silver Sneakers Silver Sneakers fitness classes are safe, multi-level, and equipment-based total body conditioning classes for Medicare-eligible participants. The classes will improve muscular strength, increase range of motion and flexibility, and are fun. Step All step classes are multi-level to appeal to everyone. Classes are taught by experienced, energetic instructors. Yoga Rest and relax in this class using stress relieving techniques along with yoga asanas. Women on Weights Wednesday evening, 7–8pm. $80. Zumba Zumba is a Latin dance-based fitness class. Salsa and merengue your way to a healthy, fit body.
Kickbox This class uses kickboxing dummies for punching and kicking drills. Some toning using hand weights or resistance cables. Core work and stretching completes the class. Intermediate/ Advanced. Master’s Swim is for anyone wanting to improve their skill level, beginners to veterans. Myra Fox, certified personal trainer with 20 years experience with SEA-Y and YMCA aquatics, will be designing the training for all swimmers.

Take advantage of the indoor cycling classes to train for triathlons in 2012. The YMCA instructors will put you through your paces each week to achieve your competitive goals.
