Standing out from the crowd in Premier ring
Kitty Trice with her pick of 12 yearlings from the catalogue in Doncaster
Lot 11
Bay colt Siyouni - Lady
Darshaan (High Chaparral)
Consigned by Lynn Lodge Stud
With a pedigree steeped in high-class performers and by one of the sires of the moment, Lynn Lodge Stud’s colt has plenty of upside early on in the Doncaster sale.
He is out of a High Chaparral mare who was a winner on her second start at two and then placed third in the Cherry Hinton Stakes and second in the Fillies’ Mile, the latter behind Hibaayeb, the dam of Breeders’ Cup heroine Wuheida.
Lady Darshaan is the dam of two stakes winners in Beholding, a daughter of the late Le Havre, and Let’s Go, a gelding by Street Cry. The now 16-year-old is out of the winning Green Desert mare Diary, making her a half-sister to the Prix de l’Abbaye winner Total Gallery and a sister to stakes scorer Tempest Fugit.
Group 1 quality runs throughout the page as under the third dam, the Listedplaced Darshaan mare Darrery, is top-level winner Ambivalent, a daughter of Authorized who is the dam of Prix Vermeille winner Teona and Prix Hocquart winner Al Hilalee.
Lot 48
B c Wootton Bassett - Marsh Hawk (Invincible Spirit) Highclere Stud Wootton Bassett’s formidable first Irish-bred crop of yearlings take to the sales ring this year and this individual stands out for a number of reasons.
Consigned by Highclere
Stud, the March-born colt is out of Invincible Spirit’s Dick Poole Stakes second Marsh Hawk, making him a brother to last year’s high-class juvenile, the Flying Childers and Molecomb Stakes winner Trillium.
The duo are related to two further stakes performers in Mohawk King and American Kestrel, while Marsh Hawk is a half-sister to Queen Mary Stakes third Hairy Rocket, the dam of Futurity Stakes third The Acropolis.
Further down the black type-filled page is the late Queen’s Dante Stakes winner, Derby third and Prince of Wales’s Stakes second Carlton House, while Group winner and Prix Maurice de Gheest second Three Points also features.
Lot 102
Ch c StarspangledbannerPatience Alexander (Kodiac) Mountarmstrong Stud
A son of the ever-popular Starspangledbanner and out of Kodiac’s Marygate Stakes winner Patience Alexander, this colt exemplifies the type of horse presented at the Premier Yearling Sale.
The February-born chestnut’s page is topped by his stakes-winning dam, who is out of the winning Sadler’s Wells mare Star Profile.
Another of Star Profile’s daughters is First Of Many, the dam of Listed winner and Group-placed Green Desert mare Many Colours, in turn the dam of 1,000 Guineas heroine Mother Earth and Italian Group scorer Night Colours.
And there could be plenty more to add to an already power-packed page as Mother Earth visited the mighty Frankel for her first date this year, while her Sioux Nation half-sister, Ocean Jewel, was an impressive winner of the Ballycorus Stakes at Leopardstown in June.
Now a Group winner, the €230,000 Goffs Orby graduate and Al Shira’aa Farms-owned three-year-old looks set for loftier targets in due course, including perhaps next month’s Group 1 Matron Stakes.

154 B f Oasis Dream - Rubia Bella (Bated Breath) Kilcarn Park
A valuable filly in both the short and longer term, given Oasis Dream’s undisputed brilliance as a broodmare sire, this Kilcarn Park offering on day one is out of the wellrelated Bated Breath mare Rubia Bella, an unraced sister to Group 2 winner and multiple Grade 1-placed Space Traveller.
Clipper Logistics’ high-class performer has completed his first season at Ballyhane Stud, while there are likely updates to come with Rubia Bella’s dam, Sky Crystal, having a two-yearold filly by Cracksman as well as a Bated Breath yearling brother to Lot 154.
This filly is the six-year-old Rubia Bella’s first foal and there is plenty of depth to her page, with Prix Jean Prat victor Zelzal and Lancashire Oaks winner and Yorkshire Oaks third State Crystal featuring, alongside Australian Group 2 winner and Group 1-placed Libran and May Hill Stakes victress Solar Crystal.

B c Havana Grey - Ski Slope (Three Valleys) Hillwood Stud
Havana Grey’s yearlings will surely be in massive demand courtesy of his brilliant results once again this year, and Hillwood Stud’s colt has plenty going for him based on his active page.
The bay is out of the winning Ski Slope, a Cheveley Parkbred daughter of Coventry Stakes winner and Dewhurst runner-up Three Valleys and Flying Five Stakes winner Danehurst, by Danehill.
That means Ski Slope is a half-sister to the unraced Galileo mare Magic, the dam of this season’s brilliant Commonwealth Cup and July Cup hero Shaquille.
Ski Slope is also immediately related to stakes winner Birch Grove, also by Galileo, as well as Pole Position, the dam of a stakes winner and Graded performer in Japan.
Under third dam Miswaki Belle is Prix Penelope winner Humouresque, another producer of stakes performers, as well as Hardwicke Stakes third Mighty and 2023 Naas Listed winner Cosmic Vega.
Lot 234
B c Sea The Stars - Tiger Eye (Frankel) Barton Stud
The reverse of the Sea The Stars - Frankel nick has already produced a top-level victor in last year’s Grand Prix de Paris winner Onesto, and there is cause for hope that it will prove equally fruitful for the same partnership.
This Barton Stud-consigned colt is out of a mare who was a three-time winner and fourth in a Listed event from just seven starts for Qatar Racing and James Fanshawe. Already the dam of a winner in Mohatu, by Roaring Lion, Tiger Eye is a typically well-related daughter of Frankel.
The eight-year-old is out of the unraced Rainbow Quest mare Crystal Gaze, making her a half-sister to a trio of Group 2 winners in Spirit Quartz, Caspian Prince and Tuscan Gaze, as well as the unraced Contrary, the dam of Hong Kong champion stayer Irishcorrespondent.
Also on the page is German champion juvenile Winter Quarters, German Group 2 winner and sire Passing Glance, and Hong Kong Group winner and top level-placed Aspect.
Lot 298
Ch f Harry Angel - Astrologer (Intello)
Houghton Bloodstock
Harry Angel has gone from strength to strength with his first three-year-olds this year and, as a sire who is more than able to get precocious juveniles, his stock will likely be in plenty of demand at Doncaster.
This filly hails from a fantastic Cheveley Park family, being out of the winning Intello mare Astrologer, a half-

GOFFS UK PREMIER YEARLING SALE: previous appearance in sales ring
Summer Yearlings Goffs Uk
From page 14 sister to champion two- and three-year-old filly Inspiral. That Frankel filly is undoubtedly Starscope’s best progeny, but the 1,000 Guineas and Coronation Stakes-placed Selkirk mare has also produced Celestran, a multiple winner and stakes-placed performer by Dansili.
The family has typically strong roots as under the fourth dam, Sweet Solera Stakes winner and Queen Mary second Mystic Goddess, is the Coral-Eclipse, Lockinge and Queen Anne winner Medicean, a late stalwart of the Cheveley Park stallion roster.
Lot 321
B f Kameko - Bewitchment
(Pivotal)
Manister House Stud
The first crop by Tweenhills’ 2,000 Guineas and Vertem Futurity hero Kameko will grace the yearling sales circuit this term, and it includes this half-sister to Nymphadora, who enhanced the page further with a second Listed success at her beloved York in mid-July. Offered by Manister House Stud, this filly is out of the placed Pivotal mare Bewitchment, a daughter of stakes winner Hypnotize and a half-sister to Cheveley Park and Lowther Stakes heroine Hooray and black-type scorer Hypnotic. Another with a tip-top Cheveley Park family, Danehurst, the granddam of Shaquille, appears under the third dam via her daughter Miswaki Belle, while others include Cherry Hinton winner and 1,000 Guineas third Dazzle plus German stakes winner and Grosser Preis von Berlin third Baschar.
Lot 338 B c Dark Angel - Capulet
Monteque (Camacho)
Yeomanstown Stud
A brother to two black-type performers, including Rockfel Stakes winner Juliet Capulet, this colt is one of a number by Yeomanstown Stud stalwart Dark Angel set to be offered in Doncaster.
Aside from being a brother to a Group-winning juvenile, the January-born colt has a page filled with high-class talent.
Second dam Family At War’s progeny take up half the catalogue page, with the Explodent mare’s talented daughter Flanders, the Listed winner and King’s Stand Stakes second, producing
