St Aloysius College – De La Salle College Relations
After more than 40 years of rivalry, this week marked the initiation towards building a good healthy relationship between St Aloysius College and De La Salle based on responsibility as well as friendship with the prospect of working with each other on matters of mutual interests. Two meetings were held between both councils the first one being held at De La Salle College on Friday 11th January. The second meeting was held on Monday 14th January at St Aloysius College with the presence of administration representatives from both colleges. Both councils discussed their current relationship especially vis-à-vis La Sallian Nights and SAC Soirée and both came into agreement that no jokes are to be said on SAC in the ‘La Sallian Nights’ show and vice versa. Scripts of both the ‘La Sallian Nights’ show and the S.A.C. Soirée are to be cleansed from the usual comments against the two schools. Moreover it was agreed that disciplinary action will be taken by the administration of both schools if any student instigates comments or disrupts the respective shows. Finally it was also agreed that the councils will work to find the source of the two facebook groups which instigates rivalry especially during these weeks. SAC Council has already found the source and the facebook group against DLS was removed immediately. We ask you for your gentle cooperation in helping the Council establish a good friendly relationship with DLS as we are no opposite forces but potentially future university and work mates.
