HAGGiSADVENTURES.COM

Because our wild and untameable passion for Scotland is contagious! We’ll blow your mind with the sexiest scenery in the Northern Hemisphere – raw and rugged, just like our home-grown Guides. Expect big skies, misty glens and the deepest blue lochs. We’ll storm fairy-tale castles, skinnydip in faerie pools and, come moonlight, we’ll be wild dancing at a ceilidh. Epic tales will be told and our rich and gruesome history will come alive, once again.

PASSIONATE

Our passionate, local Guides are Scottish to the core. It’s not a job to them, more of a primeval calling – they eat, sleep and breathe it. They’ll regale you with our deep and dirty history; lead you to where legendary battles were fought and lost; and take you off the beaten track for the best unspoilt, jaw-dropping views. These guys have Deep Scottish Love by the bucket load.

LEGENDARY

We’re the longest established backpacker tour company in the country – founded way back in 1993 by a dynamic team of Scots, who decided to break the mould and offer fully guided adventures for intrepid travellers. Our legendary tours have earned a sterling rep’ across the globe, but don’t just take our word for it… 95% of our customers have given us a 5* rating on TripAdvisor – who have awarded us with a Certificate of Excellence. We are also proud to have bagged a 5* accreditation from the Scottish Tourism Authority.

STUNNING

For a wee country, Scotland punches well above its weight. Yet, often its awe-inspiring scenery remains a tight-lipped secret. At HAGGiS, we set fire to the ace card and take you to the heart of its raw and rugged landscapes – so you can stand on heather-clad mountains and deserted white sand beaches; dip your toe in deep and mysterious lochs, or touch the stone-cold walls of ancient castles – older than your great, great, great, great granny. Famous the world over, our tartan kilts (pants optional), wailing bagpipes and hairy coos are all part of our rich culture.

YOU’RE IN GOOD COMPANY... Our wild and sexy Guides are proud to have Scottish blood coursing through their veins. They know the Highlands like the back of their hand and relish the opportunity to show off their encyclopaedic knowledge of Scotland. Given the chance, they’ll talk the hind legs off a lesser-spotted, mountain Haggis – when they’re not breaking into song or reeling off some patriotic poetry. More than that, they love to travel with like-minded people and know that by the end of your journey, you’ll love Scotland as much as they do.

I go from being a bus driver, to lunch co-ordinator, to comedian, to friend, to agony aunt (I could keep going on and on!) often at the same time – all whilst giving a running commentary about the amazing places you visit and drive through. However, the sheer enjoyment of meeting a new group each day or week, and showing them Scotland’s sexy landscapes, lochs, castles and mountains make it one of the best jobs on the planet!

Gillian FIFE @Gill_Haggis I’m a fiery ginger Scot who loves Scotland’s dramatic scenery and how our ever-changing weather makes every trip unique. No two days are the same – whether we’re having a snowball fight in the Highlands; watching otters play around Eilean Donan Castle; or simply basking in the eerie beauty of Glencoe – it all gets my blood pumping!

CHRIS Edinburgh @HaggisChrisP Every day is different – chatting about history, telling stories, going for walks or planting trees… no matter what’s on the itinerary, good quality banter and a mixture of Scottish music always goes down a treat. The hostels we stay at are fantastic and the staff look forward to the arrival of the buses so we can get the party started!

SANDY PERTHshire I’m an adventurous soul who is drawn to nature, like a moth to light. I spent my early-youth camping, hiking, climbing and snowboarding in the wilds of Scotland and my mid-youth doing the same things around the globe. Like a well-aged whisky, I’ve taken time to mature. Now back to my roots, I showcase the beauty, wonder, history and mystery of my home nation, to travellers from all over the world – oh aye!

The best travel memories happen when you deviate from the plan: a spontaneous paddle in the ocean, stopping to scoff freshly-picked raspberries on the roadside or gate-crashing a Viking festival. We do guided road trips for the free-spirited adventurer – so if there’s a random event happening – we’ll be taking a detour! After a day of hard-core exploring, the evenings are all yours to kick back, mingle with the locals and sample the local nectar – Sláinte!
