Charging a castle is crazy. But it’s even more insane when you’re wearing a kilt and wielding a 1.5 metre sword. On this trip we visit the region of Stirling where more of this mad violence happened than anywhere else. It’s where kings were murdered and rebellions started. But it’s not only history you’ll experience on this trip. You also get to relax by the peaceful shores of Scotland’s beautiful Loch Lomond, an inspiration to poets and painters. So by the end of the day you’re guaranteed to know that Scotland is both insane and stunning.

But if none of these apply to you, then it’s not to be missed. It’s an amazing castle that covers all the gory bits of Scottish history they can’t teach in school.

STAY WILD
SUSTAINABLE TOURISM
The Romans called Scotland ‘Caledonia’ meaning ‘Wooded Heights’ but today less than 1% of Scotland’s native woodland remains. Since 2011, HAGGiS Adventures has teamed up with ‘Trees for Life’, a Scottish charity dedicated to restoring 600 square miles of self-sustaining, Caledonian forest with the aim of helping Scotland ‘stay wild’. Under our ‘Stay Wild’ project we have raised thousands of pounds in support of ‘Trees for Life’ and our customers have planted hundreds of trees in our dedicated ‘HAGGiS Grove’.
We travel because the world is beautiful. And at HAGGiS Adventures; we want to keep it that way. As part of The Travel Corporation’s family of brands, we work closely with the TreadRight Foundation. TreadRight is a not-forprofit organization established by The Travel Corporation. TreadRight’s guiding principle is to encourage sustainable tourism development through conservation, leadership and support for communities, encouraging each of its partners to use this principle to guide all of their actions. To date, the foundation has helped support more than 35 sustainable tourism projects worldwide. It’s no surprise that we’re a little proud to be a part of the team. To learn more about our past and current work at TreadRight, please visit us at treadright.org.
PLANT A TREE IN ‘HAGGiS GROVE’ Imagine planting a tree that will stand forever as part of the restored Caledonian Forest. The ‘HAGGiS Grove’ is a dedicated forest developed by our customers and selected trips will get the chance to leave their own tree as their contribution to helping Scotland ‘Stay Wild’. DEDICATE A TREE If you are not lucky enough to travel on one of our selected trips you can still leave your mark in Scotland. Our ‘Dedicate a Tree’ scheme plants a tree in ‘HAGGiS Grove’ by ‘Trees for Life’ on your behalf. You could also choose to gift a tree and get a Certificate as proof of your dedication. Find out more at: HAGGiSadventures.com/about-us/stay-wild
THE ‘WEE’ PRINT At HAGGiS Adventures we have never cancelled a tour and would only ever do so in circumstances beyond our control or where continuing might endanger the safety of our passengers and crew. Similarly we reserve the right to amend routes and itineraries due to weather conditions or other reasons of safety we think important, and we would always refund in full any cancellation we had to make. We’re fully insured to operate our tours but personal insurance is not included in your ticket price and we recommend you arrange your own personal cover. We can’t accept any liability or responsibility for the actions of independent contractors, their employees or representatives.
Full terms and conditions – including details of our cancellation and refunds policy - are available on our website haggisadventures.com, at our departure points, on request by phone on 0131 557 9393 or by email to info@haggisadventures.com.
