We leave Edinburgh behind and pass Stirling with views of its impressive Castle and the Wallace Monument. Then it’s into the scenic beauty of the Highlands, once home to the infamous cattle thief and rogue, Rob Roy MacGregor. We visit a local whisky distillery where you will learn how the ‘water of life’ is made and sample a wee dram. We then explore the peaceful Hermitage and take a short woodland walk to see the stunning Black Linn Falls on the River Braan.
Arrive back in Edinburgh, with time to grab a bite to eat before making your own way to the evening performance of the Military Tattoo at Edinburgh Castle.
“Our tour guide Duncan was very knowledgeable and friendly. Our day was amazing… everything went very smoothly and we had a most enjoyable day. The Edinburgh Tattoo was breathtaking and it was also lovely to catch up and have a chat with people whom we had met during the day trip.” NEIRDAH | AUGUST 2019
