A YEAR IN PICTURES 2022-23

WhenI reflect on a year at Radley, it is rarely the headline events that matter most. Great things happen at Radley all the time but there is much more to it than that. Talent is one thing... character another. We want to see the defining characteristics of Radleians: kindness, support, engagement.

As I flick through the pages of this book, I am reminded of the small moments. The production of Sweeney Todd was a triumph, but the genuine gratitude shown by the actors to their friends working behind the scenes showed true team spirit. Equally so during the annual Steeplechase, which traditionally precedes Christmas lunch. To my amazement, almost every Shell boy waited until the last man had crossed the finish line. Togetherness first, turkey second.

A series of photographs can never show everything we do, but I hope when you look through this book you see what I see. A school with real energy, comfortable in its own skin and proudly achieving great things together. Above all, this is a happy place. Greatness and Goodness. I’m sure you’ll agree.
