The site chosen to place a skyscraper in Bucharest is close to the northern part of the city, on Barbu Vトツトビescu boulevard. There has been a tendency of this area to develop into a hi-rise office center, a place that Bucharest lacks at the moment. The currently empty place has the potential of creating a signal for this hi-rise area. I developed the geometry of the tower according to multiple factors: solar orientation, wind curents, and street visibility. The ground and first floor feature public functions such as an auto showroom, cafe, restaurant and on the first floor a media space and conference rooms.

The Bucharest University of Economic studies, with its main headquarters in Romană Square, recently bought the land nextdoor and are considering extending the main building onto it. The terrain is home to a small interbelic house, which is actually younger than the university building, despite it’s severe state.
The present relationship between the university building and the house is one of rejection.
The disappearance of the ownership limit makes the blind wall meaningless.
The relation with this house had to be carefully considered, as it is of historical value to the square and city.
The interiour of the building is remodeled, asimilating the space of the house.
Thus, the integrated university.

It was asked of us to design a public space on an empty site. Better said a site that was made empty, because on this street corner there used to be a house very present in the memory of the place.
The site near Gara de Nord trainstation in Bucharest is situated on the Buzesti/Grivita intersection, an old part of town which recently endured massive demolitions in order to enlarge the automobile street. The Rădulescu house, a true landmark in the area, used to exist as a house, with a garden and outdoor cinema, a place where locals and travellers could stop and relax. Our project adresses the memory of the place, speaking of “what used to while ensuring a medium for future public life.

The site is on Grivitei street, in the north of Bucharest. The triangleshaped site is at the intersection of 3 types of urban fabric. Individual housing to the north and west, collective blocks on the east and train depos in the south.
The building is a mix of 3 types of living. One, two, and three roomed apartments for students, smaller and bigger families. We condensed them into a single bar, having a clear relation with the site. To distance the collective from the individual houses we have a comunity park between them, open to both. On the opposite side, thowards the train depos, the apartments are given another bar, one to act as a filter, both for noise and sun, offering a semi-open space.

This project is about bringing back life to an old street in Bucharest. Calea Mosilor is a place belonging to the old city center, which has been forgotten and ended up in ruin. Interventions on several sites across this street were proposed as school projects in an effort to find out what could be done for this area.
I chose a site where this street gets close to another important artery, Carol street . I saw this closeness as an opportunity to create a center of attraction to the area. A media center with exhibition spaces, bookstores and cafe seemed adequate. The ideea was of preserving the neighbouring blind walls within a courtyard. They are a caratheristic element of Bucharest.

Designing for children is difficult because they have a different way of seeing things. New to this world they see things as they are. For them there is no box to think out of. My project wants to offer a spatial perception other than the 4-walled boxes most of us spend our lives in. Curbed, female lines seemed more appropriate as i wanted to make the building unitary, a single organism.
Set around a central coutyard, the 3 groups of children can develop their activities in an open space, flooded with light. Each group has their own private couryards to play in. The only closed spaces are the bathrooms and educators place. Floor plan

The hotel project site on Calea Victoriei boulevard in Bucharest, close to Victory Square. The concept was of articulating the corner view of the street throught a glass tube. The main entrance is underneath this tube and leads to a great open space at the ground floor. The hotel also features a restaurant and commercial spaces on the first floor.

Rural tourism is one of the most sought-after activities as well as businesses in Romania. The site for this pension is in Pestera village, near Moeciu, in Prahova Valley. A beautiful and isolated place, where one can enjoy hiking through the forest or just breathing the fresh air. The slope of the terrain is very narrow, as relating to it was the projects dificulty. At the same time, the slope is something that can be used to explore the landscape and scenery. I wanted to use different steps inside the hostel to relay this.
All of the rooms have a sitting place, as the sleeping space requires climbing up a ladder. In the same way climbing down a ladder takes you to a common platform, as a terrace for everyone.

This is a visual identity made for the Komunitas Association’s 2 year project called Urban spaces in action. It is a process of several actions in different urban spaces of Bucharest with the intent of activating public spaces and creating awareness of the urban surroundings. Instead of using one single logo for this, i proposed a recipie, something that would reflect a process instead of a singlular image.
Znahor is a handmade jewelry concept. It uses materials like electric cables and wires turning them into fashion accesories, bracelets and necklaces. The main ideea for one of the first models of bracelets was spinning the wire around itself.
Scame is the name of my band. It is mainly a ska-punk genre, although there are a lot of influences, from reggae to jazz and rock. Scame means Lints, but not in the sense of the actual lints that you find in your empty pockets, but the lints as thoughts that stick on the brain.
This is a logo for a construction company from my hometown named Megaconstruct. A monolithic single object that could reflect the company’s identity seemed appropiate as a image.
