Twitter as a Business Tool

Twitter is not a platform to buy and sell. It is not somewhere where you are going to get rid of a ton of stock that you have lying around in a warehouse. What it is though is a great way to build a business brand. It is one of the best possible tools available for PR campaigns. The Twitterverse is a living, breathing behemoth of a community. People are able to instantly connect with millions upon millions of others and share their views about absolutely anything. As of February 2014 there were about 241 million active users on Twitter.

Tweets are short and snappy. They cut directly to the message when they are on point. If a business is conducting their social media marketing properly, Twitter can help to make customers feel engaged with a product. It lets people have a say about what they are looking for and gives a company the opportunity to respond to the demand. If people feel that their opinions truly matter, then they feel that they have some sort of stake in the company. They can take pride in the fact that their suggestions have resulted in something tangible and they are more likely to share it with their friends and acquaintances.
