Water Street Library
Project 2 Part 2 Integrated Developed Design
Please follow us this way for a tour through our library!
Learners, to Water Street Library! Site Plan 1:500
Welcome, Lab Technicians, to Water Street Library and M.E.L!
Please follow us this way for a tour through our library and your new place of work!
First Floor Facilities
Our facilities are open access to all members of the public! We welcome the collaboration and knowledge exchange here, so feel free to talk to any of our supervisors!
In building 1 where you will enter, you will find access to the cafe, library resources and the M.E.P (Memory Enhancement Programme). A staff member will always be on hand to help.
In building 2 is where you will find access to the M.E.P. Be prepared to learn anything you can imagine! Our pods will carry you in these tubes to our facilities for the M.E.P.

First Floor Facilities
Subjects are guided into the facility via the ramp. Walkways for subject direction though the building are indicated in red. The escalators in the first building are a one way system. Just like a factory, our subjects will only go down a certain route.
Don’t worry! We like to keep a careful eye on the subjects throughout the facility. Label 3 is where you will find the staff room and the lab tube. You can have direct access to the observation deck

Ground Floor Facilities
On the ground floor you will find the study areas. And no you’re not wrong- those are not books! M.E.L have advanced our ways of learning so that now we can learn through Direct Memory Access D.M.A.

Without the M.E.P you cannot retain or have the features of these memories, but you can still use them to study and learn. Simply pop on the transmitter and off you go!
Please be aware that area 10 is strictly for adults. This area contains memories that can be triggering or harder to comprehend.
Ground Floor Facilities
We use D.M.A to start acclimating subjects to the Memory Enhancement Programme. By having easy access to our data and the knowledge, subjects tend to feel more relaxed and receptive to M.E.P.
The children and teen library area has an open view as this further helps to conform the adult subjects to the idea of using memories to learn. The D.M.A transmitters make sure to keep the subjects engaged.

We hope that you had a memorable time!
Lab Technicians, follow me to continue to our tour of the laboratory.
Welcome to the Memory Enhancement Lab, or what we like to call it, The Factory. Also note that subjects are not aware of The Factory at any given stage. Once they enter the pods, their bodies are put into a stasis mode where it is easier to extract memories.
1. Sorting tubes, power storage, and Memory Extrapolation chimney chambers
2. Hydro-cool tubes
3.Therapy Labs
4. Pod holder
5. Water turbo generator
6. Lab belt
7. Experimental Station
8. Memory Enhancement Labs (M.E.L) Stacks
9. Access tubes
1. Subject pods enter into the sorting tubes and then in the Memory Extrapolation chimney chambers. Each chamber can serve a different function according to the mental state of the subject.
2. The process requires a lot of energy so it is essential for the pods to cool in the water tubes.
3. The pods carry on the Therapy Labs where they will be sorted according to the condition of the subject. If the subject is fine they will continue out of the facility. If the subject requires further procedures they will stay longer. If the subject does not have any memories left to donate, their body belongs to the library and they will be stored in the pod holder (5).
6. The lab belt runs along the back perimeter of the factory. The modules are individual laboratories that can be transported anywhere in the facility.5. Before entering the pod holder, the subjects are stripped of any remaining identity. They are now the property of the library. Their body is now used for tests and to send out into the field on library business. There is an observation tower where the pods can be supervised.
6. The pods need constant energy and hydration so they are kept inside the water generator tower. The entire factory, lab and library is powered by the river water that flows between the sides of the pod holder.
7. The Experimental station is one of the key areas for where we conduct our experiments. The water is used to create different environment inside the pods. Subjects can be tested in each section.
8. The M.E.L Stacks is the main technician area. Within these stacks is storage for tests, meeting rooms, staff facilities, and our main access between the outside world and the factory. The memory data that is collected from our test subjects is stored in the core of the middle stack. This connects to the outside under a viaduct arch where subjects can see the data available to them through the M.E.P.
9. These are the access tubes that will take you to the outside world. The middle stack has access to the observation deck on the first floor of building 1 in the public area. The stack on the right is for the subject pods to exit and return, and the left stack is for staff and deliveries.
Well, welcome you to the team! We look forward to working with you at M.E.L. Also, please note: The Factory is strictly confidential. Any breach of security will result in your immediate removal to the Pod Hold.
