An ode to the Italian immigrants of Latin America, Pirilo uses the spirit of innovation and adaptation to combine Italian, Argentinian and Puerto Rican flavors into its unique pizza and a full menu that serves you sausages, octopus and empanadillas. It is quite possibly the Islandâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s best pie and worth the trip on that distinction alone, but Pirilo is a moxie boy with big ambitions and has set out to also be one of the most talked about restaurants in town. With a retro decor of mementos and baubles, Pirilo is a faux museum to its own urban legend, using whimsical pop decoration in both of its locations to evoke a timeless feel. Átame is located in a house built in 1923 by Czech Architect Antonin Nechodoma, known for introducing Prairie Style architecture in the Caribbean and for the integration of arts and crafts elements to his architecture. Founded in 1986 by Mr. Ismael Berríos, Rincón del Pon sits on the fork between Roads 164 and 826 in Naranjito. Today Chef Ricky “Malamigo”, son of Mr. Berrios, makes dishes like carne frita (fried pork) the way his father made them, in long strips cut from the whole pig and fried to divine perfection.
