BUNKA FASHION COLLEGE (JAPAN) VISITS RAFFLES Through the Japan Creative Centre (JCC) facilitation, Dr. Satoshi Onuma, Principal of Bunka Fashion College (Japan) visited Raffles Singapore th campus on 24 August 2011. JCC also extended the invitation to Raffles staff and students to attend Dr Onuma’s seminar on “The Future of Fashion Education”.
On 14 July 2011, Raffles Master Graduate Vrinda Modi did a sensational presentation to the Singapore Housing & Development Board (HDB). Specializing in Interior Design, Vrinda presented her research on ‘Sustainable Indoor Landscapes for Interior Air Purification’ to revolutionize the interior concept of the Bras Basah Complex in Singapore. Her dissertation explored the design and application of landscapes in indoor environments.
Dr. Anna Leybina and 5 students from the Psychology department attended the 9th Biennial Conference of Asian Association of Social th Psychology held at Kunming, China, from July 28 st 31 2011. The theme "Towards Social Harmony: A New Mission of Asian Social Psychology" of the conference gave the students many memorable experiences and memories. Psychology students made two successful presentations at the conference. Raffles Psych Amanda Ong presented a cross-cultural research on “What does it mean “being lazy” follow by an astonishing presentation by Erny Feberina and Lin Qi Si on “Self-regulation scale an Asian validation study”. These 5 Raffles Psych students; Elaine Goh, Michelle Lo, Lin Qi Si, Amanda Ong and Erny Feberina look forward to more exciting projects and conferences with Raffles School of Business.
