RESIDENCE .Most commonly, a household is a family unit of some kind, although households may also be other social groups, such as roommates or, in a rooming house, unconnected individuals. Some houses only have a dwelling space for one family or similar-sized group; larger houses called townhouses or row houses may contain numerous family dwellings in the same structure. A house may be accompanied by outbuildings, such as a garage for vehicles or a shed for gardening equipment and tools. A house may have a backyard or frontyard, which serve as additional areas where inhabitants can relax or eat. This residence is basically designed for the four people of a family ,husband and wife and their two children .

04. “Space for Urban Retreat- Redefining the Indian Shopping Experience” Shopping has always been a unique experience for the Urban Dwellers of all classes and groups. From traditional market streets to new age shopping malls, the typology of shopping experience is ever changing. In 21st century India became the upcoming market for investment along with global investment and economic transformation that defines the form of the city, which is much visible in changing skyline of cities. Unfortunately, in recent times, many Indian cities has lost the significance of traditional shopping experience and invested more on mimicking the western typologies such as shopping malls usually climate controlled and exclusive urban type, started from major centers and now slowly changing the built and socioeconomic structure of minor cities. Malls are designed for the sole purpose of separating the money from the consumer. It is a space in which the chaos of the city is kept at bay and a manicured space created so that the business consumption may be conducted in complete and illusionary comfort.

Beyond designing spaces, the objective of the studio is the need to question the mall as a typology in the Indian context. One must also bring a powerful new notion of nature, both animate and inanimate, which will infuse the shopping plaza with a fantastic sense of joy, discovery and wonder. One of the ways to delve into this problem is to look into the history of public spaces, markets and infuse the idea of public space with commercial, societal, technological and artistic dimensions.

ENTRY OF THE SHOPPING MALL
The 21st Century City is poised for a total transformation of the "shopping mall", and consequently for the entire idea of public interaction, desire and commerce. Shopping mall can create a field of experience which is multidimensional and interdisciplinary. It is in this way, the great traditions of public spaces, the market, desire and fulfillment are connected to our present—which creates a future that is both unexpected and compelling.

Arch shaped openings made a complete disappearance in the Hindu architecture of India. The subcontinent was still ignorant about the structural principles and methods of construction of the true arch. Hindu architecture employed post and lintels, or corbelling in order to span openings. In this context the arch as been used as an elements of building. It is to ward the south east of the sit, which allow the proper ventilation as well as day lighting to the shopping mall.

03. VILLAGE CENTRE ARAKU, Andhra Pradesh
A Village centre is a place where people come together to celebrate festivals, hangout with fellow village folks, a meeting place to discuss issues with OďŹƒcials, a source of information regarding the local happenings, a place to enjoy traditional delicacies, a place for self help groups to voice themselves, a place where workshops for skill development can happen, etc.You foresee possibilities on how a village can prosper with its own centre. It facilitates the local’s needs of any temporary exhibitions, weekly markets or even annual displays. In Andhra Pradesh, we have got villages and of them few smart villages which are present inlocations that are easily accessible. In these Towns and Villages there are already establishedcommunity centers that function as a gathering space which may or may not be government owned.

SITE ANALYSIS
1. To expose the students to the opportunities and challenges of designing in a rural environment 2. To sensitize the students to space-specific contextual factors in designing 3. To sensitize students to the special needs of the differently able people suffering from various types of physical limitations as they negotiate the built environment. 4. To enable the students apply theoretical knowledge learnt in the previous semester in architectural design exercise. 5.The ultimate Challenge for the student to design TAHASILDAR OFFICE with village centre.

05. AFORDABLE HOUSING DESIGN CAMBODIA
XATOM PHOUMI Cambodia (Khmer: Kampuchea, officially known as the Kingdom of Cambodia) is currently experiencing something of an industrial revolution in the 21st century. Cambodia is developing to become an economic centre for manufacturing and production, graduating from the status of a Low income country to a Lowmiddle income Country in 2016. As more international companies move their production within Cambodia’s borders, the capital city located on the banks of the Tonlé Sap and Mekong River, Phnom Penh, is experiencing rapid ur.banization The aim of this competition is to design modern, affordable homes for the workers in and nearby PPSEZ. The design should have a sensitivity to the local culture and tropical surroundings and where possible provide a sustainable solution that enhances the local architectural tradition, in which locally sourced renewable resources are used to provide natural temperature and humidity regulation. As the costs related to sustainable technology solutions decrease, opportunities arise to integrate new technology innovations into the design. Sales cost per standard unit house should be capped at US$16,000, to maintain affordability and allow for future ownership by factory workers. The standard unit house, should be safe, include at minimum; a bedroom, a living room, a kitchen, and an independent toilet. Efficient space management and new construction designs may allow for variable and adaptable space usage. Thought should be given to access to fire .exits, ventilation and natural light The houses should be designed for families, young couples with optional design elements for multiple or larger groups. As a total of 3,000 units are to be designed within the housing community, please include an overall masterplan of how the units will be arranged. This community planning, should include supporting facilities that meet the basic needs of residents, such as children’s daycare, shops, and public/ .green space
“Architecture is the o
e very mirror of life. You only have to cast your eyes on buildings to feel the presence of the past, the spirit of a place; they are the reflection of society. -I. M. Pei
The housing concept for this design is that each apartment unit is built around a core which holds the kitchen and the bathroom, along with necessities such as water lines, power, and staircases. Plugin units made up of large bamboo decks radiate from the core and function as living room and bedroom/s.

O B L I V I O N The Shipping Container is one such potential building material that boasts of good structural quality, can be recycled easily and is universally available. With over two million unused containers docked on ports around the world, the UnBox 2017 aims to explore the prospective functionality of these as efficient structural components that aid in the creation of ingenious ideas and in reimagining sustainability. UnBox 2017 intends to illustrate the inventive functionality of the material to the masses by using the containers to craft spaces in the public realm. The competition wants to enhance the future of public spaces with material innovation that fasters disruptive architecture and sustainability. Participants are to design a public space in an urban or rural area using 4 container units. They can use the container units from the following sizes: Type 1: 8’ x 10’ x 8’6” Type 2: 8’ x 20’ x 8’6” Type 3: 8’ x 40’ x 8’6” Participants are free to select a site for their project. The designed solution should strike a dialogue with its surroundings. The containers themselves should be designed to become disruptive and the solutions crafted should be adaptable to the changing demographical dynamics of the site. The design should also respond to the site context selected.

THE FLAG HAS BENN DIVIDED INTO TWO PARTS REPRESENTED BY TWO COLOURS S BLACK K ORANGE HUMAN FIGURE REPRESENTED ABSTRACTLY THROUGH TRIANGLES. IT REPRESENTS THE STRUGGLE OF HUMANS TO GET OUT OF THE DARKNESS AND TRAVERSE TO THE PURITY OF LIFE. THE FIGURE ON BLACK PART REPRESENTS HANDS OF AN ACHITECT STRIVING FOR PERFECTION THROUGH VARIOUS MODES THE FIGURE ON ORANGE PART SHOWS THE NIB OF THE PENCIL, REPRESENTING THAT THE POWER OF AN ARCHITECT LIES THROUGH HIS/HER IDEAS, THOUGHTS and DRAWINGS THE ONE WHO DOES NOT KNOW THE STRUGGLE OF LIFE IS EITHER AN IMMATURE SOUL, OR A SOUL WHO HAS RISEN ABOVE THE LIFE OF THIS WORLD. THE OBJECT OF A HUMAN BEING IN THIS WORLD IS TO ATTAIN TO THE PERFECTION OF HUMANITY, AND THEREFORE IT IS NECESSARY THAT MAN SHOULD GO THROUGH WHAT WE CALL THE STRUGGLE OF LIFE.

T-SHIRT DESIGN (root yourself) unravelling the roots The t-shirt design mainly describes about the institute by representing it through its form and the culture, the experience, the explorations, field trips, celebrations etc. It says about journey of an architecture student in SPAV. Further, it represents that deep in the roots, if we observe SPAV provides platform for all those who want to explore Architecture through social interactions, art, varied cultures, sports, philosophy and through academics The roots of SPAV terminates at individuals (represent by abstract form) who through their new ideas, innovations, artistic skills, architectural knowledge arrive at conclusion to make the world as better place to live by rejuvenating the elements of nature (represented by the threads of built form) .
