Applying the same concept to suburban single lot type, creates an opportunity to add another layer of self-sustaining functions with live, work and amenity units. The basic zoning remains the same where the front end is private, heart is semipublic and rear is public

The larger plot allows to make the proposal more organic by introducing self-sustaining functions like small coffee shop, bicycle repair shop, print shop which would help in saving a round trip by a car to a nearby shopping center.

In Suburban lot retaining the existing washroom, kitchen and garage spaces is vital as it would help in cost reduction and would be more sustainable

These functions would cater the needs of everyday domestic and work life. It also allows larger spaces to be used on time basis in a day, Where a space is used by people to bask in the sun during the day and by evening it becomes a space for culinary functions like a food truck.

Methodology for the project

The applications of sequential evolutionary simulations for generating urban form for Melbourne CBD. The project examines specific challenges faced by a selected superblock in Melbourne CBD, in which i address issues of foot traffic, open spaces, heritage zones, tram stop locations and pedestrian networks. The aim is to create an internal pedestrian network which integrates the superblock, encourages walkability and activity, and helps to maximise the urban livability of the urban fabric.

The project explores preservation as architecture’s saving retreat. Preservation is architecture at its most culturally significant and politically relevant. The partially demolished Robb College at the University of New England in Armidale is the chosen location for regional office for GAO.

the past, present & future

The Public-Corporate : The Revamp of Robb College : A keeper of

The NSW Regional Government Architect Office is a symbolic keeper of the past present and the future. A radical hybrid conservation strategy, where architecture is divided into two parts – the office and the archive, is the only viable approach to refocus what architecture should be about: preservation.

The partially demolished Robb College, at the University of New England in Armidale, is the site for regional GAO, The Government Architect Office. It exhibits a radical hybrid conservation strategy which preserves the glory of vernacular architecture. The proposed GAO solely acts as a facility for preservation, documentation, archiving.

It is an amalgamation of past, present and the future. The view from the arched corridor of the existing Robb college (past), the old-new quadrangle represents the present and serves as a platform for the community to come together. The new office building embraces it representing the future.

The quadrangle is used by the office people in the day whereas during the evenings it becomes a communal space for aboriginal people to exchange, remember and create. The elements of water and fire around help them rekindle the bond with their roots and take them ahead in their future.

In planet city death happens around us constantly , the relationship to it changes.

Bodies return to earth , our perception of death changes from taboo to a fundamental part of the ecosystem

Is it possible to design a single city for 7 billion people? What might happen if we radically reverse the sprawl of urbanization, collapse the entire world population into a single city, retreat from our existing ideas of nations and borders, before returning the rest of the globe to wilderness?

Rather than visitng tombstones or graveyard we now might visit a tree or occupy a land. Around the world people honour the dead by celebrating different festivals

Festivals signify seasonal changes, they revolve around the cycle of birth and death.

The process of converting bodies to soil would give afterlife in the form of plants which would bring death, life , harvest and festivals together. This way death becomes a part of celebration

Planet city is a 3D animated film and book by Liam Young to be released in 2020. Young is a speculative architect and film maker who operates in the spaces between design, fiction and futures. At the core of his multidisciplinary practice is a continuous interrogation of the present realities of cities.

Spring Summer Autumn Winter

During Spring , trees start growing again and sprout new leaves. Some trees , such as cherry trees, produce flowers know as blossom.

Trees keep growing during summer. Most plants produce flowers in summer. Many trees bear fruit, such as apples and cherries.

Trees stop growing during the fal. The leaves of many types of trees, called decidious trees, turn red, orange, yellow before falling off.

Winter is the coldest season. Many trees and smaller plants are bare and lie dormant, whihc means they are inacitve and stay like this until spring

The idea is to develop a new typology where school and stadium are juxtaposed to provide Olympics Standards facilities to children at a very early age and also helps in reviving the lost idendity of the stadium. The roof of the stadium is merging with the school forming it a monolithic structure and a landmark .

India houses 17% of the world population but won only 0.31% of the total medals in Beijing Olympics out of which majority of them are bagged by athletes from Gurgaon.

The city has the oldest and the only multi purpose sports facility Tau Devi Lal Stadium. It is located in the heart of the city and comprises of a football and cricket stadium. It hosts matches for Haryana cricket and football team and also has the privilege of hosting several national competitions

Unfortunately the sports complex has lost it’s identity due to lack of infrastructure and maintenance

This section includes digital explorations that are part of a workshop that i took called Futurly master class. Autodesk maya has been used for iterative and fluid architecture design. There are snippets of architectural visualtions which are part of my own explorations and freelance architectural visualisation projects.

Digital Explorations / Visualisation

Architecture visualisation can be a powerful tool.

Realistic renderings is all about eye catchy images that help the client realise the project.

Paying attention to detail, materials light settings is the key to produce these images. Make it stand out. It all begins with a conversation.
