RESUME

I’m 21 year old 4th year bachelor’s student at Indian Education Society’s College of Architecture. In past four years, when it comes to designing a space or structure, I’ve always tend to emphasize to the existing reality of that space more than anything else. Now i need to learn how to bring these imaginative drawings and figures into the radiating furnace of reality.

VISITOR’S C E N T R E The site is located in Port Blair, the capital city of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, a union territory of India in the Bay of Bengal. Port Blair serves as the entry point for visiting the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Port Blair has a tropical monsoon climate(hot all year round). It is also famous for the historic Cellular Jail and other small islands like Corbyn’s Cove, Ross Island, Viper Island etc. It has been selected as one of the cities to be developed as a smart city under the Smart Cities Mission in India. Tourism plays a big role in the economy of the city. Hence, visitors centre will not only promote the local tribal culture but also be useful in generating revenue. The location chosen for site is the entry point from multiple location.
