Please refer to your home’s online listing for the official access type designation. Note: some homes have more than one access type.

LAKE FRONT GOLF AREA

Any property that borders the state-owned ‘buffer strip.’ Lake Front means you have access to the water for swimming and a boat dock if applicable to your home. You can go directly to the water from your door with no road between. Lake Front does not necessarily mean you have a view of the water, since much of our shoreline is wooded.

SPLIT LAKE FRONT

Any property that borders on the buffer strip, but there is a road between the house and the water. The property owner owns the land on the other side of the road, but you must cross the road to access the water for swimming or use of the dock (if applicable). Split Lake Front does not necessarily mean you have a view of the water, since much of our shoreline is wooded.

LAKE ACCESS

Any property that has a specific, dedicated place to access the water for swimming or a boat dock (if applicable). The property owner does not own the access area. You may be able to walk to the water or you may need to drive to the area, depending on the particular property. Most Lake Access areas are designated by the community or HOA.

LAKE AREA

Any home which does not come with any type of designated access to the lake but is located within the lake area. While these homes do not have access to the lake, they potentially offer many other great benefits, such as beautiful mountatintop views, quiet communities, great locations, and more. You can reserve a boat ahead of time at a local marina, or access the lake through the public state park, which offers a sandy beach. Refers to a selection of our properties which are the most conveniently located within or near a golfing community. Some homes under Lake Front, Lake Access, or Lake Area categories may also be considered a Golf Area property.

SKI AREA

Ski Area homes and units are in the direct vicinity of Wisp Resort. Ski Area homes may require you to drive a very short distance and/ or cross a road by foot. Some homes under Lake Front, Lake Access or Lake Area may also be considered a Ski Area property.

SKI-IN/SKI-OUT

Refers to any home that provides direct access from the house to the slopes of Wisp Resort without driving or crossing a road. The convenience to the slopes in the winter is the best amenity! Some of our homes in the Lake Access and Lake Area categories may also be considered a Ski-In/Ski-Out property.

STATE PARK ACCESS

Any participating property that offers a state park pass (1 pass for homes with 1-3 bedrooms or 2 passes for homes with 4-6 bedrooms). Park passes are available only for week-long summer reservations. Each pass will allow 1 car-load of people to access Deep Creek Lake State Park.
