This catalogue features a selection of works by the seminal post-war photographer, Slim Aarons. “Over the course of a career lasting half a century, Slim Aarons (1916-2006) portrayed high society, aristocracy, authors, artists, business icons, the celebrated and their milieu. All of the works featured here are available in a variety of different sizes, either as open editions or limited editions of 150, embossed with Slim Aarons’ signature by the artist’s estate, managed by Getty Images for over two decades. Available sizes and formats Many of the featured images are available in a range of different sizes as either open edition prints or Estate Stamped Limited Editions of 150. A select number of Slim Aarons’s most sought after works have been curated into a special ‘Premium’ collection. Also limited to 150 and stamped with the artist’s signature by the estate, many of these editions are close to selling out. As such, these rare works attract higher starting prices that are subject to rise as their availability becomes more scarce. Each print is published from the original negatives by the Slim Aarons estate from a wide array of different film formats, aspect ratios, and camera models. In order to ensure the highest possible picture quality and retain the integrity of the original negatives, not all images can be printed to every possible size.
