June 2013 It’s an awesome month for us all. The children attended summer camp for nine days with different activities. And the biggest surprise for them was visiting the worlds of wonder. Thank you so much to everyone who made it possible for the children to experience their this wonderful outing. Once in their life time.
Activities of the month of May: Nine days of summer camp with different activities such as: crocheting, sewing, arts/crafts, dancing, singing, computer classes. Special outing to Wonders of the World, thanks to Mr. Richard; special lunches and ice cream sponsored by Mr. James, transportation sponsored by Mrs. Suchitra. Extra classes with one of our volunteers in summer. Received donated clothes from Samsung Noida. Goals: We will be fixing up and repainting the classes during summer holidays. Building scholarships for the students who excel in their study. Increase the strength of our students up to 100. Sponsorships needed for our students in Brighter Future, Gyan Ka Uday. Good Thot: During the Korean War, a South Korean Christian, a civilian, was arrested by the communists and ordered shot. But when the young communist leader learned that the prisoner was in charge of an orphanage caring for small children, he decided to spare him and kill his son instead. So they shot the nineteen-year-old boy in the presence of his father. Later the fortunes of war changed, and the young communist leader was captured by the United Nations forces, tried, and condemned to death. But before the sentence could be carried out, the Christian whose boy had been killed pleaded for the life of the killer. He declared that he was young, that he really did not know what he was doing. “Give him to me,” said the father, “and I’ll train him.” The United Nations forces granted the request, and that father took the murderer of his boy into his own home and cared for him. Today the young communist is a Christian pastor. Contact us at: familyservicesdelhi@yahoo.com Visit us at: www.brighterfuture2012.blogspot.in
