Paul Henry Trail closed during fall hunting season

Portions of the popular and scenic Paul Henry Thornapple Trail in Middleville are Nov. 1 to Dec. 1 because of deer hunting season. The trail remains open from Main Street in Middleville to the second bridge. The second bridge is still located within the village limits where no hunting is allowed.

Beyond the second bridge, the trail is closed for the month for safety reasons. The trail will reopen in December and is used often in the winter for snow shoeing, cross country skiing and walking. The trailhead in Middleville is at the Stagecoach Park off Main Street just north of the river.
