his year marks the 100th anniversary of the YMCA of Barry County and 70 years of Camp Algonquin, the local YMCA’s summer camp. As the organization moves into its second century, the Reminder is taking the time this week to reflect on the long history the YMCA has had with scores of Barry County’s children. Pictured here are Dave Storms and Tom Wilt, two former executive directors of the local YMCA, along with a monument at the camp commemorating its first director and their predecessor, Bob King.
