fund highlight: Barry County united way Homeless prevention fund This fund provides families (who may not be eligible for government aid) assistance with paying their housing expenses. This year these funds were used to help a couple who lost their jobs and were not provided with unemployment. They rented a home, without DQ\ GLIÂżFXOW\ IRU WZR \HDUV ZKLOH HPSOR\HG During their job search (and battle for unemployment) they became behind paying rent. They both found new employment but were now considered “over-incomeâ€? and not eligible for assistance. The grant was used to pay back the rent owed. The endowment fund helped to stabilize this family and we are very thankful to be able to assist these families thanks to this endowment fund!
