SUMMER LEARN-TO-SWIM LESSON PROGRAM *NEW- AGES 5 to 12 We are excited to begin another session of our popular learn-toswim lessons with one major change starting this summer- the new age requirement is 5-12 years of age. Four year olds will now be in our new Parent & Tot Program. As always, we will continue to strive to be the safest lesson program in Michigan with a 3:1 teacher to student ratio. Our lesson program is a 6-step, learn-toswim program with multiple ability levels: Starfish, Guppy, Goldfish, Sunfish, Dolphin and Shark, taught within each class period. You choose the class time that is most convenient for you. Students must meet the requirements of each level before advancing to the next. Students ages 5 to 12 are welcome. Preregistration required. Important notice: Parent viewing is available in the balcony overlooking the pool. Parents/guardians are not permitted on the pool deck during class as this is a distraction to both the children and instructors, creating a safety issue for your child! Neighborhood Planning Councils (NPCs) are resident-based groups that serve an important and specific purpose in our community. The purpose of Neighborhood Planning Councils is to provide a forum to inform and discuss with neighborhood residents and representatives of the City staff and City Commissioners, issues and concerns of that neighborhood. Generally, the City informs the NPC of facts and potential results of pending decisions, opportunities or other changes. The NPC discusses and decides what, if any, recommendations it would like to make or strategies they would like to develop.
