He is board eligible in general surgery and received his medical degree from the University of South Dakota. Dr. Bartholomew completed his residency in general surgery at Michigan State University/Kalamazoo Center for Medical Studies. Prior to joining Bronson Battle Creek Hospital, he was a Lieutenant Commander with the United States Navy Reserve where he investigated tropical diseases such as malaria and dengue fever. BATTLE CREEK CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL IS PLEASED TO NEW RELEASE ITS NEW SCHEDULE FOR THE 2012-2013 SCHOOL YEAR As previously announced, the high school will be extending the school day by approximately 45 minutes in order to better serve our students. The campus will also incorporate a LATER START TIME, with the student day beginning at 8:10 am and ending at 3:55 pm. Students who ride the bus will be dropped off at 7:25 am and picked up again at 4:05 pm. Central will also implement a more flexible schedule for the 2012 - 2013 school year, with classes held in a variety of lengths and formats. This flexibility will help the high school meet the academic needs and interests of all students. For example, a complete four year sequence of Pre-AP and AP courses will be offered in English, Math, Science and Social Studies for students seeking a serious academic challenge. At the same time, struggling students will be able to take courses that provide extra time and instruction in their areas of difficulty. A full selection of electives round out our offerings, giving students the chance to explore their interests and develop their abilities and talents.
