ABOUT ME Hello! I’m Ram Prasanth Kumar , a designer , a explorer, a keen observer and learner. I believe in the ability of Architecture , Research and Design thinking to effect good in the world. I have being blessed with a wide variety of experiences and I belive they have helped shape me into a highly skilled ,thoughtful and well rounded designer. VANDIYUR TANK - A MOTHER TANK: 20,000 families visit the Pandi temple sitiated near the site after every harvest from the offspring tanks villages to perform rituals and then use their water from respective tanks to avoid unequal distribution of water. SCHEME 1 - TERMINAL

SCHEME 4 - URBAN-RURAL HYBRID

Potentials: High public usage, Secure public zone since used round the clock, Increases the oppurtunity of making the edge a public realm.

Potentials: Both Urban and Rural setting witnessed at the same node. Very old settlements having variety of rituals and festivals, a significant medical and commercial realm in the city.

Issues: Vulnearable to encrouchment, Stops and diverts natural flow of water, Uses the lake as its Backyard, seperates public access to the lake, Failes to be a responsive public realm.

Issues: Encrouchments, misuse of bund , unemployed old community settlements. SCHEME 5 - NEW REAL ESTATE SETTING

SCHEME 2 - MARKET NODE Potentials: Handles most of the public movement in this region. Highly active realm in peak hours Heavy vechicle moment, Neighbourhood dwellers and common people from city are primary users in heirarchy of usage. Issues: Low sense of community, Underutilized spaces around the market with respect to the lake.Highly inactive and insecure during dormant noon hours, inspite of city’s huge waterfront open spaces.

SCHEME 3 - INACTIVE NEIGHBOURHOOD Potentials: One of the highest valued land plots in the city. High real estate value based on the lakefront marketing, Two school campuses in the neighbourhood of high quality in respect to the city, City’s most valued hospitals and clinics.

Potentials: New setting of dwellings, High real estate pressure, peri-urbanisation. Issues: Low sense of humanity, Hardly links with the lake.

SCHEME 6 - PANDI KOVIL Potentials: Very evident and vibrant ritual pilgrimage in the state, across southern districts. More than a lakh people per month visit this temple. Very different way of approach to workship. High sense of

DESIGN DEVELOPMENT DIAGRAMS : • According to point of interest and site context centre is divide into, 1) Agro museum 2) Training wing 3) Accomodation wing 4) Urban agriculture

• The agro factory is responding towards the lake and the west lift from the sun is restricted using terracotta wall on the sides of the building.

• The center node of agricultural centre to attract people and farmers towards nature , it acts as a interaction node.

• Main block: agro museum and farmers training centre.

• The designs verical zoning is the lower and upper floor is open for public where the entry of that is from the right end which acts a 0 m lvl entance and the first and second floor is a private zone, users are farmers and their reseachers and entrance from +3 m lvl.

• Accomodation block - farmers hostel men and women , staff quarters.

• The agro landscape acts as a frontage of the agricultural centre and also helps in retaining the visually connectivity between agro and the urban fabric.

• The double height openings which regulated air inside the building in a regular basics .In ner court yard spaces act as a multipurpose area such as a meeting spaces or Exhibition area. Terrace floor level

Structural Design Model

Hanging light design Hanging light is a minimal product design done for aesthetical purpose using waste liquour bottles. These bottles are inserted with a lighting fixture and hanged over a pergola in a random design manner.

Model material : Balsa and Acrylic transparent sheet

Farm House | Vitla,India The farmhouse at vitla is envisaged as a composition of two volumes; a ‘light’ living unit and a discreet service unit tucked away behind a continuous wall running along the driveway.

Paper Collage The illustrated concept ‘drought’ conceals the treasure of hard work behind it. The term refers to the duration without success which actually requires strenuous effort that would end up in success.

Ceiling Design The celing design comprises paper rolls of black and red that depicts the aesthetic ceiling structure.

Poster Design Miniature Model The model is a physical representation of my College in miniature. It enables to demonsttrate the behaviour and propery of the orginal building without examining the orginal building.

Poster design was a part of our internship programme where we fellow interns were asked to design a poster of Tile ‘no vacany for interns’ for the firm’s social media Page.
