Haven of human activities Design for active aging Dementia village
Academic, Graduation project Project year - 2019-20 Type - Residential care Site - Eindhoven, Netherlands
With the disease where forgetting is inevitable, the ability to feel normal is vital for the wellbeing of elders with dementia. Most elders spend their last days bound in institutions where the ability to carry out normal activities is hindered by the lack of sensibility in the spaces. Haven of human activities is a design solution with an objective to create a smooth journey through the spaces of the dwelling. The sequential flow of architectural spaces and its cues help the elderly with their daily movement without getting lost in space and time. Role - Graduate student Concept generation, Research based design, Architectural drawings, 3D Modelling, Technical details and Complete project management.

Professional, Individual Project year - 2017-18 Type - Recreational space Site - Vijayawada, India
The meaning of Kalakshetram is a place where arts of many forms exist and flourish. The tourism department of the state of Andhra pradesh, India had an architectural competition with a motive to design a low cost public auditorium with a capacity of 1000 people in Vijayawada. The winning entry was the Kalakshetram project which provided an architectural platform for performing arts like music, folk dance and an exhibition space for local and contemporary artistry. This auditorium for its cultural relevance and human centric design became one of the landmark of the Vijayawada city. Role - Assistant Architect Responsibilities - Historical research, Concept, 3D Modelling, Working drawings and Client meetings.

Concept: A building that reflects form as well as function. As Kala kshetram is a space for arts and traditional performances, I took the prominent heritage structure Undavalli caves as an inspiration as these rock-cut caves were once a niche for exhibiting and performing arts that provided a stage and fame to the arts and artist for centuries.

Right balance between buildings and open green areas was achieved through the design of public squares, amphitheater, and recreational spaces. Only 40% of the site area is used for construction leaving the majority of the site to a lush green landscape.

Impex office Retail space
Professional, Team of 2 Project year - 2015-16 Type - Office space Site - Bangalore, India
Located in the uprising industrial area of Bangalore, Impex is a business outlet and repository for granite and various mineral stones. The client wanted an office building for 10+ employees with meeting and storage spaces. Considering the context and future function of the block, a contemporary design was developed. The result was a modern retail store with a functional floor plan, simple geometry and an eccentric roof structure. Contrasting white and black tones along with the straight and angular lines creates a clean and elegant form which made the building a pioneer of its kind. Architectural designer Concept generation, 3D Modelling, Architectural designs, Technical drawings and Construction site visits.

October 2020
Over the past year I’ve had the pleasure of assisting Ramya through her graduation project. We really appreciate the way she looked into the target group in her project. The whole design is based on the way of living of people with dementia(PWD). She did extensive research on how architecture can help PWD to carry their daily activities without the burden of the environment. The result was a simple and calm design that was clear and understandable for those who have difficulties digesting complicated design messages. Therefore using simplicity she produced a powerful architecture with promising design features. I would highly recommend Ramya to you, as I believe that she will be more than able to provide a positive contribution to your organization. We as the graduation committee had the pleasure of working with her and were pleased by the outcome of her project. We wish her every success in her future journey.
