RECREATION

The vast mountain ranges, beautiful meadows, streams, and lush valleys offer many horseback riding, hiking, backpacking, bird watching, mountain biking, and cross-country skiing opportunities.

Bridger Bowl Ski Area, a local winter playground, is about 30 minutes from the property, while Big Sky Resort, one of the country’s largest and best ski areas, is about 1.5 hours away. In addition, several golf courses are scattered throughout the area, including Livingston Golf and Country Club, Valley View Golf Club, and Bridger Creek Golf Course.

Yellowstone National Park lies 60± minutes south on Highway 89 through Paradise Valley. The north entrance of Yellowstone National Park provides quick access to the Lamar Valley populations of elk, bighorn sheep, mule and white-tailed deer, coyotes, wolves, antelope, eagles, moose, black and grizzly bears, and other wildlife. The rare and endangered wildlife populations speak to our first national park’s wildness and unspoiled nature.

Along with geysers and hot springs, Yellowstone National Park is the birthplace of many of the finest trout rivers in the western United States. The fishable Gibbon, Firehole, and Lamar Rivers help create the Madison and Gallatin Rivers.
