Truly a hidden, private, and unexpected gem, Thieves’ Den Ranch offers nearly two miles of private trout stream and thousands of acres of private big game hunting. The terrain varies, from the winding riparian area along Bates Creek to sagebrush-dominated rangelands to ascending hills, some lined with bluffs and boulders. The home and headquarters have been developed in the wide valley along the creek, a site noted to be protected from the typical Wyoming winds. The rangeland extends nearly three miles north to south and almost four miles east to west. Bates Creek is ranching country. Cattle have dotted the landscape for generations and continue to do so. Irrigated hay meadows line the streams creating both beautiful vistas and wildlife habitat.
