We have made preparations to bid and buy livestock through Superior Productions’ “Call or Click-To-Bid” service for those unable to attend in person on sale day. This is our traditional method of buying livestock and is the suggested process for anyone who does not have consistent, high-speed internet. CATALOG DESIGN

All bulls have been semen tested by a licensed veterinarian. All bulls selling for $3,000 or more will be covered 50% by APEX Cattle if they are injured during their first breeding season, Breeding season is defined as the 90-day period following the first turn out of the bulls. 50% if the value of the injured bull, minus one-half salvage value, will be given as a credit in a future sale or towards a replacement bull if one is available. Salvage value, if any, will be split equally between APEX Cattle and the buyer. All injured bulls must be diagnosed by a licensed veterinarian. Please notify us as soon as possible should an injury occur and prior to the injured bull being sold for salvage. All claims must be made by October 1st. We will not replace a dead animal for any reason.

Cattle inspection

Visitors are welcome to view the cattle in person, if possible, at the ranch headquarters any time prior to January 29th. We also encourage you to take a look at videos on the offering on www.SuperiorLivestock.com and www.APEXCattle.com.

TRUCKING AND DELIVERY

All bull lots selling for $3,000 or more will be delivered at no cost to central points in Nebraska and the adjoining states. For other bull lots, we provide nationwide delivery assistance in coordinating prompt, lowest cost trucking. We guarantee to have your bulls delivered anywhere within the continental US for no more than $300 per head. All bulls selling for $3,000 or more shall receive a $50 credit if hauled by the buyer directly from the sale location. All bulls will be cared for and delivered following the sale, at the buyer’s risk. Bred heifer buyers are encouraged to haul heifers on, or immediately after, sale day as they will be near calving. Insurance recommended.

Enhanced Genomic EPDs, Scrotal Measurements, and Homozygous Black determination will be provided on a supplement sheet. This will be posted on www.APEXCATTLE. com prior to the sale and in hard copies on sale day.

The rewards of using better genetics are many, and well documented. Importantly, the fastest avenue to realize benefits are through heterosis, or crossbreeding. For decades, agronomists, followed by the swine and poultry geneticists, have made tremendous advancements by stepping aside from tradition in their breeding mindsets. Numerous studies at MARC and other locations have shown cattlemen that the easiest path to profitability is gained through heterosis, realized through crossbreeding. Today, we have the greatest maternal base our industry has ever experienced, and that is the Angus cow who virtually dominates the current landscape. To maximize their utilization, they should be bred to a bull of another complimentary breed. We have found that the Simmental breed fits that need best, and it does not have to be a high percentage to realize the benefits. Some our best SimAngus females are only 1/8 to 1/4! MARC has proven that crossbred cows stay in the herd 1.3 years longer, and that they produce 600 lbs. more weaning weight than her purebred counterpart. That can result in significant profitability, of $100 or more per cow, per year! Furthermore, the added feedlot performance and grid advantages can result in more added premiums affecting bottom-line closeouts. Our bulls are bred to be profitable for our customers, both short and long term! Whether you sell your calves or feed them out, our APEX bred bulls will be a solid investment. They are easy to look at, stout made, sound structured and manageable. Importantly, they are raised on our ranch and developed with their future in mind. All older two-year oldâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s run on pasture with no supplementation, other than salt and mineral, then afterwards are fed a no grain ration to further insure their sound feet and structure.
