Belvin Velasquez is an extremely powerful and proven herd sire, and one of the most phenotypically complete mature bulls you will find. He has been proclaimed as one of Bismarck’s greatest sons. Velasquez sons are sounds and thick, with bone, hair, and great Angus character. They have been extremely well accepted by commercial cattlemen, with 40 sons averaging over $7,500 at Belvin. Velasquez daughters are proving themselves to be excellent producers and model Angus cows, which is no surprise with two of the Angus breed’s great maternal sires, Bismarck and EXT in his pedigree. Progeny from his daughters have consistently increased the sale average and the lot 1 leadoff female in the Belvin 40th Anniversary sale was off a Velasquez daughter and sold for $25,000.
