SALE INFORMATION

As our family makes its way through this year, we are so grateful for family and friends. This has been an un”bull”ievable year. We know there is a lot of unpredictability with the current drought, cattle prices, fuel prices, the “Covid” lingering in our midst...making a living has been challenging to say the least. Our focus is to be hopeful for our family, business, state, country and world. What the Lord has in store for us only He knows, as we trust and wait to see.

We are getting ready for our sale, taking pictures and videos, and walking through the bull and heifer pens. The normal clean up and prep work that needs to get done, I tell you, we need more hours in our days! (Not really, we need sleep!)

We have a good set of bulls for you this year. Our focus continues to be on good numbers to match an equally good phenotype as well as having solid structures and foundations of their physical and internal stature. Something that has always been extremely important to us is wanting what’s best for our customers and their herds. If there is anything that you have questions on, please don’t hesitate to reach out, we are here to help in any way we can. You are welcome to come view the bulls, we just would like a heads up to make sure we get the gate open and to make sure there is not an event at the barn, it has been a busy year for the barn venue at Thousand Hills Ranch!

Nathan is a legit US Army Soldier stationed at Fort Carson, Colorado. He has loved the physical training and the variety of weapons at his disposal, he’s competing even there, he is always in the top tiers and always gives it his everything. Joseph is an official legal driver, he has been working hard this summer, from hay work to cattle, he’s our work horse. He hopes to play fall football, but we will see what takes place in our state of Oregon with all of our mandates. Ben is anxiously awaiting to be able to play hockey this year, he will try out and see where it takes him, he has been “dry” training in the garage and everywhere he can! Starting junior high and time is flying by! John and Heather have been busy with flushing cows, transferring embryos, making and selling hay, they are never bored!

Allan & Cee keep busy on the ranch with multiple events at the barn. Allan has been serving up our beef at his restaurants – be sure to go by and say hello if you ever drop in at Blast 825 in Orcutt, Blast n’ Brew in Pismo Beach or Me & Ed’s in Pismo Beach, Nipomo or Santa Maria! They are expecting their first great-grandchild, “Roma,” who should be making her debut at sale time, so Maddie will be greatly missed, but quite understandably excused! Our sweet 2021 blessing!

We look forward to seeing all of you at the sale, please be sure to call if you have any questions.
