About Our Family Wow, what a year it has already been! As we make our way through this new year, we are so grateful for family and friends. Knowing there are a lot of unknowns with weather, cattle prices, food and fuel prices, the “Covid variants” lingering in our midst...making a living has had its challenges to say the least. Our focus is to be hopeful for our family, business, state, country and world – giving it to God and trusting Him! We are getting ready for the sale, preparing to take videos, clipping bulls, cleaning out the sale pens, normal clean up and prep work that always needs to get done, not to mention the calves are hitting the ground and we have had a productive time building calf huts! Our family is excited to show you the bulls out of our TEX Able 8528 bull! We have a nice set of bulls for you this year, some different AI sires to select from and see. Our focus continues to be on the balance of good numbers to match equally good phenotypes, having solid structures and foundations of their physical and internal stature as well. This year our feet pictures did not get done, not for lack of trying, due to weather and time, we just could not get them done. BUT good feet are a huge part of our program, so please don’t take them being out of our catalog as anything but we physically could not squeeze it in! Something that has also been extremely important to us is wanting what’s best for our customers and their herds. If there is anything that you have questions on, please don’t hesitate to reach out, we are here to help in any way we can. You are welcome to come view the bulls just let us know when you’ll be stopping by so we can greet you! Nathan’s in the Army, based at Fort Carson, Colorado. We were happy to have him home with us after New Years for a couple of weeks, it’s always so good to have everyone home and around the table, it’s the simple things that mean the most. Joseph’s busy playing basketball as well as loading hay customers for us. Ben has finally been able to play hockey, enjoying every bit of it! John and Heather have been busy with flushing cows, transferring embryos, making & selling hay – they are never bored! Allan & Cee keep busy on the ranch. Allan has been serving up our beef at his restaurants on the Central Coast! However the most exciting thing is that they are enjoying their first great-grandchild, Roma! (Courtesy of Jake & Madeline Troutt!) We look forward to seeing all of you at the sale, please be sure to call if you have any questions.
