The Potluck Randall Owens



Thinking of water and food, there are many things that can be done when it comes to making meat balls. Usually my mom would make these from scratch, but because of time I wasn’t able to do the same.


Presentation When these were made at home they were always put in a crockpot.



Frozen When it comes to making these meatballs, there isn’t really much to think about when it comes to water., well with the meat at least.


Barbecue The barbecue sauce is where most of the water comes from in this meal. The one mistake I made in this recipe was not measuring my use of the sauce.


Letting Them Cook I let the meatballs cook for a while before adding my next ingredient. This made me think less of the food and water and more of the energy I was using to get to make the dish.


This is where the next ingredient was added in. This was done after about half an hour of cooking with just the sauce in meatballs.


Once the brown sugar is added more barbecue sauce is also added, once again without thinking about the amount.


Once all of the ingredients are added it is time to let the dish cook!


Letting Them Cook Usually when people make meatballs they usually let them cook for 4-5 hours. My mom lets them cook longer to allow the flavors to really get in to the dish.


After about 7 hours these are done and ready to eat. The only bad thing about this is it’s not time for class.


Finishing Touches The last step is to stir them and make sure they don’t stick to the crock pot. This also allows for people to get sauce when the get the meatballs as well.
