The site is a rectangular plot and located at Chathamangalam near Calicut-Mukkam Road.
The main challenge of the site was the water logging during monsoon seasons from the wet marshy areas nearby due to the rising level of water from the river nearby.
So here, we are filling the site and raising it to protect it from floodwater.
The living spaces are designed in such a way that the sun and the wind are exploited in the best way. Openings are oriented to let in maximum daylight and wind. The major circulation happens from the main corridor of the house. A green courtyard inside the house delivers ample freshness to the inmates. The glass openings are given at zones where the least heat is recorded.
