A.005 Self Portrait.

A.005

This is a futuristic, anti-heroic and pro-consumerist architectural dialog. My understanding of architecture is solely expressed through hypothetical p rojects in this portfolio in an at tempt to create a new reality through the lens of technology. I’m attempting to address the generation I belong to that freaks out when the Internet goes off and lives in a world without boundaries through the platform of the Internet. While looking through this portfolio please notice the emergence of the visual language of the Internet in the physical world.

Inspiration :

Archigram Martin Heidegger Rem Koolhaas

:// B.

B.000 :// I believe that cities of this time should be more generic. I have a vision that urban planning will disappear as a discipline in the far future, because a city with identity is not what we need, a city with identity is too static, fixed and inflexible.

B.000

B.001 “Paris can only become more Parisian, it is already in its way to become hyper Paris, a polished caricature. There are exceptions : London it’s only identity a lake of clear identity, it’s perpetually becoming even less London, more open less static” - Rem Koolhaas ://The influence of globalization and the Internet physicality of the digital age, is a cultural revolution that will transform the way we design our cities.

B.001

B.002 Unfolding. :// Concept hand sketch.

B.002

B.003 :// As a result of globalization,it’s estimated that 220 million people around the globe move from where they are originally from. This movement succeeded to form a new structures of community. A mass of individuals who only share a common physical place. A huge floating tribe. They do not value their origins as much as their destinations. This step in evolution should be celebrated.

B.003

B.004 // City Planning : In an attempt to extend the concept of theoretical fractional dimensions in geometric patterns, fractal geometry led the planning of my city. The visual in this page is showing the formula that developed one cluster.

B.004

:// C.

C.000 “Where do you come from? It’s such a simple question, but these days, of course, simple questions bring ever more complicated answers” - Pico Iyer Understanding the meaning of a “Place that you come from” for a generation who experienced the “Place of the Internet” comes with way more complicated answers What If we are not rooted to a piece of land, we enjoy the possibilities the virtual world is offering to us ,How can architecture address us? Our houses should look a little bit different, visually and functionally.

C.000

C.001 ://Internet physicality : Spacial hierarchy of the digital house.

C.001

C.002 Floating and ungrounded. :// Concept hand sketch.

C.001

:// D.

D.000 This project got the attention of a real estate developer in Chicago for Its well-designed spaces and the return of investment value. :// Mass production : If real estate is asking for is functionally-efficient buildings, will architecture be limitied to producing only effecient buildings?

D.000

D.001 :// Project : High-rise mixed use development building ( offices + Hotel + Plaza + shopping mall ) ://The design succeeded to deliver the maximum achievable office space. Most of the lower level areas are restaurants, retails,a 5 star hotel and a plaza that walks you down to the river taxi. The use of spaces was focuced on the return of investment. :// This specific view sold my design to the client.

D.001

D.002 :// Concept : Connecting the city to the river. A strong connection that will walk you from Upper-Wacker street of Chicago, through the building lobby, to a breathtaking view of Chicago river where you can dine the restaurants of the lower level of the building and enjoy the view. Poduime 4 levels is occupied with spaces for retails, spa ,a health club , and a roof top to enjoy music and drinks at night. If you are working at any of the offices of this building -43 office floors-, elevators that are dedicated to your office space will take you privatively to the office. Efficiency in the use of space besides the convenience of the workers and the visitors of the site was the leading aspects of this building design.

D.002

D.003 :// There is an illusion between the understanding of the mixed use space to public and the demands of the real estate development.

D.003

:// E.

E.000 :// Testing Vancouver - Canada : This project is attempting to root a generic city at the heart of Vancouver Canada. Vancouver has a high level of globalization and high-tech architecture that is trending in the city. :// Three main urban planning design elements : 1. City cores + Public Realm 2. Connectivity (streets) 3. Green infrastructure (Site analysis)

E.000

E.001 :// Redefine public realm of Vancouver city in Canada : Besides all the shopping malls, cafes and parks, this project is an addition. ://Urban corridors: are walking bridges located in different spots around the city that connects people in different places through the segmented reality. Because why should socializing be limited to the physical place? ://This bridge works in pairing point001 and point002 which are two different cities in different countries.People by visiting this bridge in two locations can hang out together.

:// Design concept : Architecture should stop perusing old dreams of modernity instead should start linking digital imagery to reality, and question what radically a different future can reveal ?

E.001

E.002 :// Connectivity + Green infrastructure : I believe that the nature of the generic city has two elements, one is green infrastructure and two is the hidden digital connection. ://This project is enhancing the use of the smart devices and the Internet in daily life.Gradually, the city will need less physical architecture and more open spaces to experience augmented reality. The far vision is to vanish high-rise buildings because we are less attached to one spot in the world and more frequently moving around the glob.

E.002

E.003 :// Instead the city design will enhance the sense of nature more than high-rise building , and the highest visual point in the city will be made by nature.

E.003

E.004 Architecture Vs. Nature. :// Concept hand sketch.

E.004

:// F.

F.000 ://The airport is the most singular, characteristic element of the generic city. The airport can simply replace the city of the future. Designing a generic micro city at the heart of Vancouver-Canada to transform the living of that area and smooth the city to algorithmic efficiency.

F.000

F.001 Destroying the static city. ://Pr-project sketch.

F.001

F.002 :// Urban motherboard : The Airport is a combination of small flying machines that re-produce their own energy. Taking a flight is as easy as taking a cab. It is the heart the future generic city, and a step towards an architecture of our age that can bring modernism and post modernism to an end.

F.002

All previous projects are different divisions of one city, a city that is a part of a vision, that for now I can only call it “Utopia. The dream-like dimension that Utopian architecture holds can not be less important than solving emerging society issues. Reflecting the social formation is a powerful massage architecture could and should be a tool for.
