Ranch

Located down on ridge 5 is the Ransburg Ranch. During the Summer Season the Ranch is home to 20 horses. Many of which have been able to come back year after year. The Ranch offers several merit badges including: Horsemanship, Dog Care, Animal Science,and more. Also this area offers daily afternoon trail rides and an advanced horsemanship program called Wrangler.

There is no age restriction on the trail rides. Trail rides tickets are available for $10 each from the trading post. Rides are scheduled for 3:00 pm and 4:00 pm.

The Ransburg Wrangler program is for Scouts who have successfully completed the Horsemanship merit badge and are looking for more advance instruction for riding and caring for a horse.

Shoes or boots with 3/4” heels and long pants (jeans) must be worn while riding, come prepared! We have an assortment of boots and pants, but cannot guarantee all sizes.

BADEN-POWELL

The Baden-Powell area provides a selection of several Eagle required merit badges for Scouts to choose from: Citizenship in the Nation, Citizenship in World, and Personal Management. These three merit badges have recommended ages of 14+ due to the high school-like content encountered in them. However, this is only a guideline. Scouts should consult with their Scoutmaster prior to signing-up for one of these three merit badges.

The Game Design merit badge is also available in the Baden-Powell area for any Scouts who enjoy playing all kinds of games and are interested in learning more about creating their own original game.
