5 Basic Questions in Christian Apologetics: God is perfect. Explain: (very difficult to do) We look for valid cohesion to how we live and believe. 1. What is the meaning of life? a. Existential question b. 4 components to have a meaningful life: All the world is a stage – i. Enchantment – a world of wonder (involved in a new world) [G.K. Chesterton – Orthodoxy] ii. Truth - Knowing what is true. iii. Love - A sense of love and belongingness – a longing for acceptance. iv. Security - Security when we get to our old age. c. As we age, the harder it is to have your heart filled with wonder and only God can do this. d. To have meaning we need God and Immortality. 2. How can we know that the Christian God exists? What evidence is there? a. 3. How can the Christian God allow such injustices in the world? 4. How can we know that the Resurrection occurred? 5. How is the justice of God embodied in the exclusivity of the Gospel? Questions of Origin, meaning, morality and destiny! Each are hinted at here. Worldview provides answers to these 4 questions. Each need to be coherent.
