Help with GCSE school work
The Music Chamber has a dedicated internet site. There is a lot of useful information on the web site. Blogs are posted there regularly.
Students can have lessons to help them with their GCSE coursework. Composition is often a subject the student needs help with.
Students have their own online folder. Recordings of the current piece of music they are learning, are stored in this folder. The student can then download the music in mp3 format, listen to it, then practice along with it.
Examination Syllabus The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (piano & theory). ICMA contemporary exams (all instruments). Students can take examinations at the discretion of the teacher in any of the above syllabi. Examinations are not compulsory, but are a welcome edition to advance the student through the various grades and levels.
Music Technology
† PROFILE ¢ The Music Chamber has been established for 25 years. Private, individual lessons are tutored in piano and electronic keyboard, theory of music and composition. Students of all ages and abilities are welcome. Lessons are taught on a one to one basis (no group lessons). The instruments used are of the highest quality.
Music Technology is also taught. The Music Chamber has modern, well equipped, Apple Mac computers that are configured with professional, state of the art, audio recording software. Students wishing to take lessons in music technology, will gain an understanding of the current, modern, processes of recording, audio editing and audio mastering techniques. Topics also cover midi and help is at hand when composing at GCSE level.

LEARNING TO PLAY
All music styles are taught. Learn to play pop, jazz and classical pieces.
Learning to play an instrument is an exciting and rewarding experience.
A large library of music is available; so with the help of the teacher, a wide range of material can be chosen to be played.
The lessons are taught in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. The individual needs of the student are always taken into account.
Many tunes have been specially arranged and printed.
The teacher is very experienced and patient. Each lesson is planned to help the student progress, in a steady, methodical way.
There are also technique and finger exercises. These are available in pdf format ready to be chosen and printed. This extensive library of music is available to everyone. You will be spoilt for choice.
LESSON TIMES Lessons are taught Monday - Saturday. The main teaching hours for children and adults are as follows: Monday - Friday 3.30pm - 9.00pm Saturday 9.00am - 6.00pm Daytime lessons are available for adult students who prefer this.

LESSON PAYMENTS Lessons are booked and payed for on a monthly basis. Payment can either be cheque or cash, but not credit card. Direct debit or a standing order can be arranged if you prefer. Payments can also be made using Google Checkout. There is an online shop to make secure online payments.
