5:30pm Malbunka Stage 1 start - opposite The Mercure

6:00pm Namatjira Stage 1 start – Sturt Tce, 1k north of The Mercure, Cnr Schwarz Cres & Sturt Tce

Friday 25th August

6:40am Malbunka Stage 2 starts - Simpsons Gap

8:00am Namatjira Stage 2 starts - Standley Chasm

6:30pm Event buffet dinner at The Mercure

7:00pm Presentations for Stage 1 and Stage 2 at the buffet dinner

Saturday 26th August

7:20am Malbunka Stage 3 starts - Birthday Waterhole turn off

7:30am & 8:50am Namatjira Stage 3 slower & faster runner wave starts - Birthday Waterhole Rd

6:00pm Event BBQ buffet dinner at Discovery Parks Alice Springs - entertainment centre

6:30pm Presentations for Stage 3 at the buffet dinner

Sunday 27th August

7:00am Malbunka Stage 4 starts - Ochre Pits

7:30am Namatjira Stage 4 starts - Counts Point turn off

11:00am - 3:00pm ‘Beach Party’ post-race celebrations at the Ellery Creek Big Hole

6:00pm Event presentation dinner at the Alice Springs Brewery

Monday 28th August from 8:00am Buses depart Discovery Parks Alice Springs for the Alice Springs airport Competitors depart or embark on further exploration of Australia’s Red Centre.

Any important event changes, updates or issues made during the event will be shared on the Run Larapinta Participants Past and Present Facebook Group and will be communicated at the stage presentations the day before and posted to the event notice board. It is up to the competitor to make yourself aware of these changes.

Race HQ - The Mercure Alice Springs Resort and Discovery Parks Alice Springs

The Race HQ will be the social hub of the event and everyone is most welcome to come and enjoy the facilities whether you are staying there or not. The Race HQ will move from one location to another as the event progresses – summarised below:

• Wednesday 23rd to Friday 25th - The Mercure, 34 Stott Tce,

• Saturday 26th to Monday 28th – Discovery Parks Alice Springs, 25 Palm Place.

Additional notes about The Mercure

• Breakfast will be available from 5:00am on Friday 25th and Saturday 26th so you can eat before getting on the bus.

• The competitor buses will leave from outside reception

Additional notes about Discovery Parks Alice Springs

• We will set up the ‘Run Larapinta Camping Village’ where Rapid Ascent provides camping equipment. Additional details about the camp village are HERE https://tinyurl.com/53zfpceh (as e-mailed to campers on 14 August).

• Continental breakfast will available from 4:30am on Sunday 27th at the Alice Springs Brewery directly opposite the Park so you can eat before getting on the bus. $15-$20 pp
