3 Secrets on Writing 16 Bars of a Freestyle Rap Song http://www.FreestyleMethod.com
When writing a freestyle rap song, some of the things that writers question are what is the best way to start, what kind on content should my song contain and how can I make my flow better. So I decided that we would take some time and answer these questions. Tip #1 - The Best Way To Start The Song A lot of songwriters will have a writers' block when they get ready to write the verse of a song. Sometimes the very beginning or what to say to get ready is the hardest part of writing. So when I write, I like to think of some things that I can do and think about when I write. I like to think about my approaches. For example, I might start out by telling a story. It could be a true story or it could be a story based on an experience that I had. It could be an anecdote that gets a point across. I sometimes will start off with a joke. Another way to start off a verse is by writing about a political event or writing about something that you are doing at the moment or just before the moment that you started to write. Each of these suggestions are some good ideas to get you started writing. The more that you write the better chance that you will have to find your writing style. The more that you write, the more you will be able to draw on your previous experiences, thus having starting example to work with. Tip #2 - The Best Way To End The Song Once you get started writing, it is usually pretty easy to get going. Once you get going, you have to also figure out how you are going to end your verse. A couple suggestions are to finish your verse but finish it not completely at the end of the verse but finish it completely at the beginning of the chorus or hook part of the song. The second suggestion is to finish your line on the same mood or vibe that complete your hook or chorus. Tip #3 - Rhyme in the center and the end This is a way to make your freestyle rap song a unique from a lot of the other songs that are out there. You can take two lines or bars and rhyme in the center of the line rather than at the end of the line. What this does is
give you an emphasis or accent at the middle of the line and give you an emphasis or accent at the end of the line. This is pretty interesting, because this will let you pause if you want at the beat near the middle of the line. You can then let your flow follow the beat. Your can let your voice act like an instrument and get in tune with the beat of the line. As you work on the flow, you can use same different techniques based on where your beats and breaks are. You can emphasize different syllables based on the beat. You can make your words shorter or longer. You can accent different syllables based on the beats or cut your words, fitting in everything in tune with the beat. We have given you the writer a lot of different ideas that will help to strengthen your thought and writing techniques as you work on writing your freestyle rap songs. Incorporate some of these techniques into your writing and watch your songs hit a new level.
