In your freestyle rap battles there are structures to follow as you create your rap rhymes for your rap battles. There are a lot of different structures that you can use in your battles, but today we are just going to talk about the 1-2-3-4 structures.

In a 1-2-3-4 structure, you are talking about 2 bars or measure with 4 beats in the 1st bar and 4 beats in the 2nd bar. When writing your lyrics, generally, you will rhyme the 4th and the 8th words.

As you rhyme, you also want to add emphasis with your voice. What you will do is to emphasize the rhyming words. So the emphasis will be on the 4th and 8th words. Just remember that you will emphasize the rhyming words.

You'll notice that when you do this it will not only sound good, but also it will have a good structure.
